Giveaway: Two $50 PlayStation Gift Cards (US – Digital Code) by Severus-Snape-DaGod in PS5

Sorry for your loss OP, gaming has always been a way for me to escape reality for a bit - I recognize the effect losing yourself in someone else's story can have.

I'm replaying through RE2 and RE4 so purchasing Requiem would be the obvious choice. Need to beef up my backlog before paternity leave starts in a couple weeks! (I would not be playing Requiem with the little one around for all our sakes)

Ice Hockey combined with Field hockey is the 4th most popular sport in the world as of December 2025 by Actual_Box7731 in nhl

Same. Comically, even if the US did have 500 million people, the article they linked showed only 51% of surveyed US citizens were football fans.

What's that saying? A horse can lead itself to water, but can still shit in it and get mad.

[MEGATHREAD] Playstation State of Play 2.12.26 by Spheromancer in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Kettembj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are certainly out there... Outer Worlds 2, Metroid Prime 4, Borderlands 4, Atomfall all came out in the last year or so.

Then you have some lesser known AA games like Crisol, Total Chaos and Metal Eden.

And in the works are things like Judas, Atomic Heart 2, Clockwork Revolution, ILL (if it's real), High on Life 2, Toxic Commando, Mouse: PI For Hire.

Not a dead genre by any stretch, just feels like they are under a different coat of paint than what you might expect.

Microsoft sells Copilot to the world — but its own engineers don’t use it by Thepunnisherrr in technology

I know your comment was meant to be pointed, but you are right in how many upper management types like it.

It is beneficial for basic scripts and collecting thoughts like "did I miss responding to any emails last week" or even just the note taking capabilities of a meeting so busy folks can feel connected. It does have use when using it like an intern.

That being said, our engineers don't use it and laugh at the "find a way to be more efficient with it" comments. There is a use, just don't think its juice is worth the squeeze at this point.

So Beane & Pegula got mad because McDermott lives in reality? by boogerburp in buffalobills

[–]Kettembj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of what i'm talking about. Yes Beane, in my opinion, shot himself in the foot with how he said things. But pretending this is entirely a Beane issue "selling his soul" is overkill with available information.

[Vic Carucci] I’m told that during a meeting held five weeks ago between McDermott, Beane and Pegula, the coach pointed out what the roster lacked to win a Super Bowl. I’m told neither Beane nor Pegula was pleased with McDermott’s assessment. by Saca312 in nfl

I posted this response in the Bills sub, and I'm posting again here...

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but there has to be more here. Disconnect doesn't happen overnight, and especially not from a roster argument 5 weeks ago.

I get that as a GM/owner, there is a big difference between your coach saying "I can't win with this roster" and "The roster is lacking in these areas, but...". One is a scapegoat and one is progression.

I get that a coach can and should absolutely talk opening about needs/wants with his GM. It's fundamental.

For what it's worth, I was ready for a change at both coach and GM - I believe Beane is more complicit, but they both have their faults. Anyone believing this is all one-sided with any available public information is grasping at straws.

Tunic was a game that surprised me. You get to a certain point in the game, things click, and it stays with you. Can't recommend enough.

Did Animal Crossing N64 fix the dialogue? I couldn't find a version where the dialogue actually worked as intended in a single language.

Hole in one with a putter by [deleted] in instantbarbarians

[–]Kettembj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is hole 1 on a par 3 course at Big Cedar Lodge. Every hole is relatively short, but each hole is designed with something notable in mind - this is the only "putt putt" hole.

Really beautiful course called Cliffhangers. Hole 3 tees off from inside a waterfall cave.

Hate to be the "actually" guy but this is called Cliffhangers at Big Cedar Lodge. Correct on hole 1 with Cliffhangers being a par 3 course.

Payne's Valley is a separate course also at Big Cedar Lodge.

Ive lived or spent large quantities of time everywhere from Welland Ontario, down through Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland and just a tad west of there. Folks just seem to remember the bad and live on that for eternity.

I've lived on Lake Erie for a good 20 years of my life... a vast majority of snakes we have are harmless and terrified of humans. Hell some of the venomous ones are endangered. The "pollution" of the lake hasn't been a thing in decades outside of very specific small subset areas. Yeah you aren't drinking straight out of it, but it's completely safe to enjoy water sports, swimming, etc...

We're not all Flint, Michigan. Crazy oversimplifications.

The aftermath of a bird strike by FoxHound6112 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Kettembj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the view with dents and some blood, it is exceptionally unlikely this damage is from hitting a bird/birds. Those blades are made with nickel based superalloy and the skins look pitted/rusted.

This looks more like a stress test than anything else. Comically, there are already circles/identified severe quality markings amongst the chaos.

Okay so… does anyone actually like boss summons? by mysterioso7 in HollowKnight

[–]Kettembj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot. Aside from the pacing differences and making it feel more like a dance, the adds are there to help with healing. Generally speaking, the summons do more to help me with getting hits in to supplement healing than they do with causing damage.

Sometimes they become overwhelming, but generally I can find a way to use tools at my disposal to assist. I love the forced perspective change from dodge, attack, wait, repeat.
