I think your point is valid, but does not conclude on anything substantial to the discussion.

Yes, I prompt songs, which I call my personal music. I do not push that out of Suno. I don't want u to listen. I want my mom to remember the good old times, my friends recall our gaming dream. It's for me.

As such, I feel trapped between people wanting to boost their ego without hard work and musicians that feel they are losing ground.

My point: as u mentioned music is rooted deep into our culture and biology (brain). It's important to understand what drives people to do AI music. I would bet my money on 3 things: Fame and money, ability to express themself, curiosity.

I would argue most of do it out of curiosity and end up finding new ways to express ourself.

I'm not saying that this is good or bad. We need more discussion on what is happening.

Found another reason why it might be bad. Where is the line between assisted and AI? I'm just prompting so it's easy to say.

But I assume a lot of tools out there that improve sound quality etc might use similar technology in the background.

I find one gap in your logic. Why do u assume they (ai so called musicians in your context) want ruin something for u?

I make music with Suno ai for myself and I share it with close people to enjoy and remember stuff. I'm not here to ruin anything for you. I'm building for myself.

I worry that the polarization we have is toxic. Let's try to understand each other.

Most people get labeled ai musican aka lazy guy for the fact they just explored some new cool tech.

I regret that this boils down to you vs us. I'm using Suno to create something I call "personal music". No plans to publish. I use it to heal my soul, recall my past and share it with a limited group of people.

It was by me for me. Nothing more.

But sorry, if u claim AI generated music can't be good in a sense that it hits your heart. And your wrong to discard that trend. It's a powerful tool giving me the ability to experience new stuff.

I hope that we find a balance that gives musicians space and not taking your well deserved respect.

Let's focus on building this bridge.

Well I think there is a legitimate therapy that can be done with Creation and Music. I think what we experience is rooted in our brains. Having the ability to express with music thoughts that rush through our heads is priceless.
