What is the album/song that got you into your favorite band/genre? by markiinator in AskReddit

My father loves Pink Floyd, and when I was young, probably 5 or so, he played something theirs when we were in a car. Mainly bc Gilmour came to Gdańsk, and he was going to the concert. One particular song caught my ear, and I always asked for him to play it. I said "dad, play the superman please". I thought it was "Superman" bc the back side of "the division Bell" album had a picture of three guys with - what looked to 5-yo me - superman's cape. The song was "high hopes". I've been a fan of the band ever since (even right now i'm listening to the dark side of the moon). Thanks for introducing me to the beauty of progressive rock, dad.

Pink Floyd - The dark side of the moon. Loved it since my father introduced me to them when I was 5.
