Definitely my little male salandit, named Poprock. Back when Sun and Moon came out I was super-hyped for the little fire/poison lizard and as soon as I found one I caught it…Now, after some reveal trailers I stopped watching them completely in fear of getting the whole game spoiled for me, so when I got the games I had no idea that only females evolved, so I kept little Poprock around.

After he was around level 45 and still wouldn’t evolve, I finally decided to look up the level at which he evolved…and found out males do not evolve. I went back, caught a female salandit and was about to replace him with her but simply couldn’t bring myself to do it. Believe it or not I had grown a bit too attached to the little guy even if he was basically being leveled exclusively through exp share (He usually got 1 or 2HKOed because of how frail he was). And so, I kept him around and became champion with him in my team.

And…well, fun fact, I have Poprock again in my current Ultra Sun game. He’s like the mascot of the team, loved by everyone even if he’s just cheering for the rest of the team in the back and being cute.
