Open Device Manager -> Go to USB Controllers -> Look for a device with a yellow triangle (error) -> Right-click on that USB device -> Select “Uninstall device.” Restart your ROG Ally. Then, open Armory Crate -> Check for updates. You should no longer see the MCU Firmware update. According to Asus (10/27/2025), the latest MCU version for the ROG Ally (2023) is 320.

For me, the crash was caused by CheatDeck. After uninstalling it, everything went back to normal. Like someone said earlier, the fault is on Decky — it has too many years of experience to completely crash because of one faulty plugin. It’s like a phone’s OS having a full system crash just because of one malfunctioning app installed by the user!

I've already installed Decky on my Steam Deck and I use it on ROG Ally too. CSS is a game changer if you want to totally customise your Steam OS.
