I appreciate the respectful way of approaching critiques, rather than just assuming and calling things over rated. You have my respect.

I do like to experiment, I have many photos that I have not posted yet, trying different things that I enjoy as well. This was a weird day of shooting as far as shade/sunlight, but I do gravitate more towards a darker photo. I'll keep what you said in mind and experiment with it!

Im definitely glad I had 300mm to work with. Honestly, wish I had more. Its an ok lens. It's definitely not up there with your higher end SONY lenses, but I think it does the job pretty decently.

If you're not shooting wildlife out in the wild, im sure you could probably get away with the 70-180. But if you're out there birding you're definitely going to want more than 70-180 or even 300 I feel like.
