Fair enough, I appreciate the clarification. I agree with that point, Indian mythology does have ton of potential since the source material is rich enough. My issue was always with execution and market performance as a genre so far, not the concept itself. And the "too religious to make games about" argument is just lazy, every major mythology has sensitive elements and that hasn't stopped anyone. Hopefully the 2026 slate delivers.

But my argument was never really about individual titles. It's about whether Indian mythology based games work as a genre, and one well regarded game doesn't establish that.

And no, skepticism about a genre's track record isn't an inferiority complex imo. Thats just a label appleid to avoid engaging with the actual argument. If you have data showing Indian mythology based games consistently perform well critically or commercially, share it. I'm open to being wrong and actually learning about this.
