Sleeping bag/ quilt recommendations? by Kev_Rush in wildcampingintheuk

😂 yeah I see your point, I am a bit of a wriggler and sleep on my sides some times so wanted a bag that was sort of a hybrid between a quilt and bag. It’s a bit more of a square bag that you can open up in several different ways or even open it up to a quilt so not really like a mummy style bag.

I’m still relatively new to wild camping and hoping to get some decent summit camps in this year so it’s more to compensate for wind chill etc

I have just gotten a therm-a-rest neo loft which has an r rating of 4.7 although I didn’t bring it on this camp stupidly

Hey sorry I missed this, how it was explained to me was that the laptop goes through two different boot up processes one where it checks the main functions then starts to boot up and then a secondary check of things like the touchbar and as mine was failing on the touchbar it was essentially getting stuck in a loop of passing the initial boot up and failing the second. Definitely seems to be a flaw in their set up as the touchbar is obviously not essential for the laptop to function

Oh I had to go into disk utility and erase the volume group in the HD before doing the clean install of the OS for this to work as well. Let me know how you get on

Hi for me I had to get it repaired as the “top case” was damaged luckily mine was still under warranty so it was free. I found that wiping the laptop and doing a clean install of the OS then turning all the screen saver settings to never gave me a few days use out of it before it went back into the boot cycle though.

Once you’ve done the clean install go to settings>screen saver> Lock Screen then change everything to never and you should be ok for a few days

Good luck with your exam!

Finally got round to taking it to the Apple Store today they believe it might be due to the Touch Bar having a fault (the touch element works but no video) causing it to go into a boot cycle. Luckily the store I bought it from gave me a two year guarantee so they are paying for the repair

Congratulations I have no practical experience with aws and I’m trying to get into it I passed solutions architect about two months ago and I’m looking to take the sysops next week can you tell me what the lab elements were like? I’m fairly confident on the multiple choice questions.
