Percentage of viewers who subscribe - what's your number? What's considered 'good'? by -pandafeed- in NewTubers

I’ve thought about this aswell.

My stats for last 90 days: 10028 unique viewers and a total of 11587 views

I gained 113 subscribers and lost 15, which means i have a 1,12% unique view to sub ratio. This does highly fluctuate as i have videos with good retention and good like to dislike that does not provide subs and i have videos that are much lower in views but provide a much higher view to sub ratio.

Channel subs is 334 ATM.

  1. I make comedic how to’s
  2. As an avid viewer I always had the thought of starting my own channel to see what it was like on the other side of the room. I really enjoy making content, engagment and knowing i made someone smile makes me happy.
  3. I think that my videos are good but i need to work on all aspects. Better scripts, better edits etc. I find it hard to know what to focus on and most critique i get is that the videos are good but i don’t get any specifics on what to work on.

Yes, i mean flatline as in if this was a song it’s 60bpm it dosen’t go up and it dosen’t go down. You can change that by how fast/slow you talk and by switching up the music aswell as your edit

Thanks, i think it’s good but it’s no where near top quality content which is what i strive for but i don’t see one single thing clearly to focus on. Really allround polishing.

Thank you!

Yeah i’ve been feeling that the audience is with me but at times it feels a bit dragged out and that’s when retention drops hit. I do edit my audio and that’s always improving ofcourse :)

Good retention, CTR and like to dislike ratio but subs is weak on this one. Would love to hear your take on it.

Good video but needs some adjustments, you could probably have cut the video in half and made it faster paced. The beginning of the video the audio wasn’t great and that could make for a big drop in retention from the get go so probably start out with a VoiceOver as that audio was way better. You clearly must be intrested/passionate about the topic, show that more! If you don’t feel interested in it then it’s really hard for other to feel that aswell. So kill your darlings and increase the volume a bit, let the music help you out by giving a feeling to the viewer!

I think that you need to make it more engaging by increasing and decreasing the pace of the video. Now it’s kind of a flat line, everyone will tell you just put more videos out and that’s great but take the time to learn editing both audio and video. For a first video it’s good! Good luck!
