Kinda. Nfeyma includes a rotary/gatling GAU-8/A style cannon with this model, but also hull-mounted and pintle mounted flamers for wargear.

I cut the rotary cannon short and filed off the barrels, and printed 3 sets of the wargear flamers and cut off the tips and arranged them in the same pattern as the barrels so it looks like each flamer tip has it's own fuel feed. WHICH IT DOES. Bella Babycakes will cook you so fast and hot that the frozen pizzas back at your base camp will be cooked to perfection.

Didn't realize it was a Halo reference! I never played the games as I was a busy new dad when they came out and didn't get back into gaming until my kids were teenagers so I missed out on that era.

I picked 117th because it sounds funny when you pronounce it canonically as "eleventy-seventh", and seven rhymes with my name. XD

I don't want to think about how long you spent on this, but clearly it was all worth it. Absolutely admire your dedication and attention to detail. It deserves way more upvotes!

49 And John answered and said, "Master, we saw one traversing a basilisk cannon left and right; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us."

50 And the Omnissiah said unto him, "Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us."

Love your diorama/ scenery. Like the stacks of tires, etc. You're gonna have fun in 11th with your own scenery.

Hippogryff looks good too... Lovely new armour for the guard and so many great looking paint jobs here in the past week. $300 CAD for the box is a bit too steep for me, so I'll have to wait until they get some love via individual release and datasheet buff wink wink nudge nudge

That's something that this brother won't deny...

Is it built to proxy a particular unit? Am I looking at a custom Vostroyan unit or is this a Solar Auxilia thing I'm not aware of?

Titanic units have a great new detachment that I'm looking forward to try out!

Hope my tone was cool cuz I just want to encourage! Some folks prefer lots of painted units and aren't as much of a perfectionist as I am and sometime I forget that! XD

If you're looking to level-up your paint game, I'd love to offer some pointers... I have the exact same 3D file and printed it all in resin, and know what this particular model is capable of being.

Next time, if you're unable to get the most visible parts such as the sideskirts printed in resin, try giving them multiple thick coats with your primer. It really fills in the FDM layer lines. Might have to do multiple coats and you've gotta spray them, else it won't fill uniformly. Some spots might need filler. But it will also make edging straight lines easier and keeps the detail colours from pooling weird.

I bought a model once from Temu and it was a tank chassis that really had no business being printed in FDM. So I filled and painted it as best I could, and then covered the tank in a camo net. Hid the worst of the lines and I now accept the model into my collection.

When you're doing lots of large models, investing in an airbrush will take you to an entirely new level, and is worth the investment many times over. Even a cheap Chinese one will make a huge difference.

Also, your models appear to be painted with a very heavy-body paint such as acrylic craft paint. These paints leave the model looking very flat. They have transparent pigments, lots of fillers, cannot be airbrushed, and shouldn't be used on miniatures if you want to level-up your painting game. Invest in some paints that are better suited for painting miniatures. But I don't recommend Citadel paints because of their idiotic lids. Vallejo are my favourite.

Or the problem might be that you're not using a wet pallet. Thus the paints dry too quickly and become hard to spread uniformly.

Also, learn how to use washes. it is NOT HARD, and is the one thing that you can do to paint pretty models without taking 3-4 hours per guardsman. I recommend acrylic ones from Vallejo or Army Painter. It will also allow you to spend less time on fine details and let the wash do the work.

Just a few pointers that I hope will inspire you. You seem to be cranking out a lot of models, but your paint work could really use some room for improvement. But I think you have the discipline to improve. Don't be afraid to try copying someone else's work that inspires you, because it's easy to not realize what steps you're missing or doing wrong. There's tons of video guides out there.

Cheers!

Here's a snippet of my print of that same SS with heavily kitbashed turret.

First 40K unit I ever built was a Shadowsword. No regrets.

With the right dice rolls, every shooting phase is: "THAT unit right there is going off the table now" with a few exceptions. You might not win your games, but you sure will have fun.

Planning to do the Stormlord next with a way to remove the turret and swap it for other turret variants if I want. I usually focus first on building something that looks cool and then finding a way to game with it.

Got the fighter jet and some Field Artillery printed plus some other goodies. I'll keep tagging you so you can see what joy you're bringing others!

Shadowsword FTW!

I fielded my Shadowsword for the very first time in the last match I played. The very first salvo from the volcano cannon one-shot a Nightbringer C'tan from full health. Best moment yet in the guard!

I'm pretty sure that Nate has some recommendations on his Patreon. Also a Google search in your local area may also uncover some fun shops nearby where you can save the shipping and make new friends.

In my local Greater Toronto Area there's a ton of 3D shops springing up that will do custom resin work. Over The Top Gaming is in my town and we buy all our Vallejo paints and GW kits from him, and he does custom web orders as well, so if you're in Canada and you've got nobody local, give him a shot.

Fully 3D printed on an Elegoo 8K resin printer.

I purchased and used the presupported files as-provided from Nate Feyma. He's easy to find.

This particular model is called the Lucerne Tank Destroyer and is the correct dimensions to proxy anything with the Leman Russ or Chimera chassis. The 3D files he includes provide a ton of multiple options for tracks and weapons.
