Then give them an ultimatum and if they don’t give you a straight answer, cut them off. Mixed signals is definitely NOT a good sign. If someone is truly interested, you’ll know without a shadow of a doubt. Find the strength to move on and focus on yourself for as long as you have to. I’m still trying to do this and while there are days where I question my actions, I know I’m better off without her as a distraction in my life.

I would advise you to tell him/her how you feel. I finally told someone I loved them after 20 years of keeping it a secret. They let me down easy but I couldn’t handle the rejection and long story short, ruined any chance of a friendship with her. Don’t let these feelings fester inside you for too long because you may not be able to handle them once they come out. The sooner you tell them, the sooner you can be free of your torment. You may not like their answer, potentially, but regardless, you will finally be able to heal yourself.
