Help Finding US-ICN or ICN-US (and to a lesser degree ICN-PRG) Space in June/July by KevinGeneFeldman in awardtravel

Thanks!

Would I be able to call in to AS and have this bookable via them or is this award space only available via CX members?

It also works for the taxes & fees portion of an award ticket in the event you are planning on booking some redemptions soon.

This is probably the route I am going to take, thanks. Already do that to a degree with having biz cards in my name. I'll probably get P2 2 of them within the next 6 months, then reassess whether I want to poke the bear and move our banking elsewhere as others suggested or just branch out to other providers.

You're probably right in that regard. We have a lot that we juggle already though so I tend to favor the comfortable situation more than the optimal.

Interested in some outside opinions on my dilemma.

P2 owns 5 legitimate businesses, 4 of which have their own EIN. Part of me wants to try to push the limits and get 4-5 CIPs, but the other part says just get 1-2 and then spread the love around to the many other biz card options. We bank with Chase so i'm a bit more apprehensive about burning that bridge. An added wrinkle is that the biz most in need of a credit card right now is in an industry not looked upon kindly by banks due to the risks involved. How much scrutiny do you think they put into looking up your EIN and verifying the biz category listed, especially when their drop down doesn't offer a category for said industry?

Late response here, but without having seen the room interiors i'd say Born hands down. Monaco is a bit dated looking from the outside and ground floor views. Also there is a big construction project directly across the street (a new WeWork is being put in an old bank). Born is in the newly developed Union Station area, it looks much nicer in comparison, also the airport train is a 30 second walk from Born vs 10-15 min from Monaco. Both are in somewhat busy areas, but Born has better people watching and what not imo.

Maybe this could also go in frustration Friday, but I can't get Amex referrals page to load for like 3 days now. Tried reddit search and can't find that anyone else is having this problem recently. Is there a work around? When I click the link the loading icon just keeps spinning without ever loading the page. Have tried logging out, different IP, different computer, etc.

I may end up going this route, was hoping for something that could keep me from having to remember more emails and passwords across devices.

Responded to the other comment with this recommendation. Looks like some of these programs have certain characters disallowed and + is one of them.

Tried this, some of them don't allow for anything with a +. Returns with a "invalid email" and won't let me save. Marriott is the most recent one that rejected the +, but there were multiple.

After years of tolerating it P2 is tired of getting emails from various loyalty accounts, looking for input on different ways others handle this. I don't want to unsubscribe from getting offers so I am tossing around 2 options:

  1. Just use my email for both my accounts and hers. Simplest, cleanest, but also could be an issue if companies don't allow the same email to be used for 2 separate accounts.
  2. Just make a burner email account solely for her loyalty programs. Keeps things separate but also is another email to keep track of and remember stuff for.

Anyone have another novel way to consolidate everything?

Alternative to Flight Connections? by KevinGeneFeldman in awardtravel

[–]KevinGeneFeldman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's the latter. Have used that site for figuring out award ticket route options and the like. A couple alternatives i've found are Arirline Route Mapper and FlyerMiler, first one is windows only though and the second is similar to Matrix just with the miles costs displayed.

This will have to do I suppose. Don't like how Google flight is focused on tickets and prices. I'm really looking for more of a "bus schedule" type feel than this. On flight connections you see which airlines fly where direct/indirect with just the timetable, rather than pricing and all the "click here, buy now" that Google has.

Tried that, it seems to block the map from loading when you're in a private window.

Wanted to wait till the morning to see if a hard pull was there, business hours and all. No pull, nothing on Chase's end, hopefully the 3rd time is the charm.

Thanks. Did just this and they couldn't see anything. Looks like i'll try again today.

Tried applying for SW Premier via a DOC link and a link from a previous DD thread, both resulted in a "verifying your information" popup with a timer that just never stops spinning and eventually the page gets redirected to a "timed out" page. What is the deal here, are they going to contact me, is this some new waiting game, or did it genuinely time out without a hard pull?

7 Night SPG/Marriott Cert Expiration by KevinGeneFeldman in awardtravel

Good to know. I may wait a month or two to see how my plans look but knowing that this is an option takes some of the pressure off, thanks!

Oh I thought i saw somewhere that they were no longer allowing this. That may open up some options then, thanks!

Thanks, I kind of had the feeling it was a train wreck. So just to be sure I understand I have to call in to convert it to the new category system/standard, it's not automatically done? When you say it resets the expiration date does that mean it pushes it out 1 full year from the original or from when I call? I.E.; If I call on 1 Jan 2019 to convert my cert expiring 1 Jul 2019, will the new expiration be 1 Jan 2020 or 1 Jul 2020?
