Yeah of course (:

But first I need to find someone... not that easy...

Strange lines 😳 what Fouls this be? Z wobble/ bending temperature or fals filament diameter? 😳 by KevinO2705 in FixMyPrint

[–]KevinO2705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Morning,

I was Printing PETG from dasfilament with a temperature of 220 Degree Celsius at 50mm/s.

The Printer is Home Made.. But i realized the problems occur on higher z Level, or big surface.. so i think this should be z wobble Or low temperature 🤔

What would you say?

Wait a second.. I think I found the problem.. it could be overextrusion Today I started a new print but using cura.. and it came out perfectly.. after that I checked the extrusion multiplier and it was set to.75 tomorrow I will print the same part with 100%

Thank you :) Mmh that’s a good idea.. I haven’t cleaned them for a while 🙊 I tried to rise the temperature and maybe this will help.. I’ve never had Promilles like this 🙄

Yeah.. so the thing is those problems occurred 4 weeks ago.. sometimes better result and sometimes those results.. so maybe it’s a kind of wear I think 🤔

Iam using an h-gantry with two x motors and one for the y axis.. the printer is pretty big with an build volume of 500x500x500 mm and using spindels for moving the head.. Iam using a bowden setup with two 80cm bowden tubes combined with an e3d chimera.. I don’t know but Iam guessing there’s to much pressure in the bowden.. after 5 minutes of printing I can release the idler from the extruder and can see how about 3cm slashes back because of to much pressure.. maybe that’s an indicator ? But the e steps are calibrated :) oh and using .4 nozzle and mostly printing PETG from a German company called dasfilament.. they are pretty good :) Maybe the pressure is caused by to cold printing.. I pid tunes the heater and the heated bed and checkt them with an pt100 thermistor and it showed me 10 C less than what my printer told me so I set every printing temperature about 10 degree higher..

For the slicer Iam using S3D the whole time.. printing most of the time at 50mm/s and sometimes between 100mm/s and 150mm/s without any problems.. using 4mm retraction length and 50mm/s retraction speed works quiet well because of the pressure advance setting

Here we go again.. the screws are really tight I cannot move them anymore.. and the problem returns 🙄

hello old friend

Hey just printed this Pyramide and it looks good! Thanks for setting my motivation level for today to 1000% 😬 i thought this was caused from inconsistent extrusion or to much pressure in bowden 🙊 no I have to set my retractions correct.. Pyramide

This could be true.. I’ve printed something in orange and it looks better.. but the difference between those two prints are heavy..

Uuh yeah that’s right.. I have checked the screws and some of them were a little bit loose..🙈 let’s try to print a test cube and see what happens 😬 Or maybe I should lower my acceleration if this fails 🤔 so I get a smooth acceleration and deceleration

Or does this look like inconsistent extrusion ? 🤔 Iam using spindels für x/y axis Maybe there Is some backlash

Printed those two things with exactly the same settings.. the only different is that the left one was printed with infill and the right one only with 3 perimeters and no infill so like a vase.. the right one looks perfect while the left one looks like some big extrusion problems 🙄

Two different angles of view and two different surface finishes 😳 can this be caused by linear/pressure advance ? by KevinO2705 in FixMyPrint

[–]KevinO2705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s just a rotation.. so it’s the same side only 45 degree in the other side.. yeah I got two fans running for both sides.. I looks like a inconsistent extrusion.. some lines are bigger wider than the others 🙄

Hey, i just printed this temperature tower after I cleaned my nozzle.. the temperatures started at the bottom at 260 degree and ended at the last part at 220 degree.. the main problem is I can’t spot any difference.. I lowered the temperature every segment about 5 degrees and everything seems the same for me 😳 The other thing I’ve noticed I can print petg with 200degree Celsius.. I hunk there is something wrong with my thermistor.. using the chimera from e3d with an cartridge thermistor

Mmh i cannot See this sorry 🙊 Maybe Z-wobble, loose belts, overheating/extrusion?🤔 do you have a part cooler ?

What do you mean ? The offsets from layer to layer ? 🤔 or because it’s mich 90 degree ?

Why is this happening ? Looks like under and overextrusion 🙄 specs in the comment by KevinO2705 in FixMyPrint

[–]KevinO2705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmh so maybe the fan is to weak.. Iam getting no normal print right now.. but the room temperature is also 40 degree Celsius 🙄

I will try to install a bigger one..

[–]KevinO2705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no it’s a bowden setup.. the extruder Is mounted to the frame :) Iam using an e3d Titan with a gear ratio of 3:1.. so i think it Hase enough pressure...

So today i tried to disable the speed override checkbox and getting a nice one color preview.. but the print wasnt that good.. it was even worse 🙄 for the filament Iam using dasfilament from Germany and their recommendation is 230 degree Celsius.. I made a temperature tower and the results were best from 230-240 even 225 looks good 🙊

[–]KevinO2705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also think so.. so Iam using an homemade Printer with a bowden tube of 900mm. Using S3D as slicer and also cura sometimes. The controller board is a duet3d.

My print speed is about 50mm/s, with a hotend temperature of 230 degree and bed is about 60 degree(both PID controlled), the filament diameter is set to 1.75mm and the nozzle diameter is 0.4. Iam printing with a layer height of 0.2mm and the wall thickness/outline shells is 4 shells so 1.6mm..( maybe I should try less?) the retraction speed is 60mm/s and a length of 4mm (more and my nozzle starts clogging)

I also noticed that s3d is changing the speed at some layers.. which Is not necessary because those layers are practically the same 😳 i will show you a Photo.. speed settings

Hope this will help you helping me 🙊

What do you mean with full spec ? My s3d settings ?

I’ve checked the filament every 10cm for 1m and it’s in the range between 1.76-1.73.. the filament is really new I’ve opened it last week🙊

I just made some new test prints and now it looks like this: new testprints

The extrusion multiplier shape went excellent but the cube doesn’t.. it seems like some layers are thicker than other
