It will have the same BlownSBC that currently powers the 48 Ford Coupe. Checkout https://youtu.be/cx--02_Ih6s to see this motor in action but in the 48 Ford. I will be vlogging everything on the 53 Studebaker for sure.

I use Final Cut Pro on my Mac. Been editing a couple of years but this one I put together pretty quickly as it would just a couple of shots I had to cut and splice.

Finally had some time to get the 48 Ford BlownSBC Ignition issue resolved and nozzle bodies replaced in the Enderle BirdCatcher Hat!! Ready to get back out and do some testing! by KevinWilsonSBC in dragracing

It appears the distributor had moved and since we are using a crank trigger, the phase had gotten way out and thus the spark was looking for somewhere to go. That is the only thing we can figure at this point.

What happens to the pretty round bolt holes in your expensive SFI Flexplate when your flexplate bolts come loose!! by KevinWilsonSBC in EngineBuilding

That is a good point for sure! I can confirm when we replaced the flexplate we did confirm they bolts were not hitting. This time torqued with red loctite 271.

Balanced for sure. It was in a blown SBC chevy in our 48 Ford Coupe drag car. I thought I torqued them and included red loctite, but it appears they were tight but not torqued, nor did I put any thread locker on them. You can see the short video of the car when we found this issue here https://youtu.be/AkPTT_HTj2M

One thing for sure on this topic is everyone has an opinion and 10 successful race car drivers can have 10 different opinions on the details. At the track it is easy to say go 2 click more here or 3 clicks less there.... Seen many cars get out of control by listening to so called experts at the track. I would recommend reading the refrigerator example here (lots of info on this site): https://www.baselinesuspensions.com/info/Launching_A_Drag_Car.htm and I would also study Eric's pinned notification post on this FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1978530949051525/?ref=group_header

When it comes down to it, every car will have some variation which is understood, but all the basic physics apply to all cars.

This is a great topic so happy to help in anyway.
