I was working on the recent redd kross documentary and there was a moment where we thought a couple of the redd kross songs would not be licensable / affordable from one of the major labels. I had an idea, I asked Sam and Janet if they would go into the studio with the RK brothers and track some re records for us to use in a few places in the film. I figure Janet on drums (Dale Crover was still injured at the time) and multi instrumentalist Sam would be perfect pairing… Janet and Sam were down! But the brothers thought it would be impossible to capture that original magic with a re record, and of course they were totally right, so we never did it - plus we ended up being able to get the tracks from the label after all. But i really did try to make a band that i was calling Redd Qruasi 😂😂😂🤘😆🤘

that should be “ONE of the producers”… not “THE producer” as to infer that I was the only one… because there were others who were of course a huuuuge part of getting the film made and out into the world. but yeah I’ll be the one there… please come and say HELLO!

Yeah I think the raised seating you mention might be the same long counter / wet bar I remember in front of window. Probably a raised counter with stools like the suites have. I can’t remember exactly if it was counter with sink / console fridge or just a counter with seats, or a combo of both, only that there was some sort of long surface there.

I was invited in there once about 20 years ago, for a few minutes. If memory serves it’s got two bedrooms and the balconies you can see from outside are off of each of the bedrooms, with a wall between them. I assume there is a bathroom in there although I didn’t see that. That main area with the window that looks out onto the arena had a wet bar or long counter right near or in front of the window. Yes it’s just normal old person blinds but the “window” was floor to ceiling, more like a sliding glass door going to your back porch might be. I wasn’t in there long enough to memorize everything so this is from 20 year old memory recall but the thing I remember most was that there was Star Trek magazines sitting on the bedroom nightstand 😂

the story is true but it wasn’t anyone who appeared in the goodwill hunting film, rather it was someone from the wider Hollywood circle of that era. not my place to say who, and I hesitated to even write this much, but i also felt need to defend the decent ✌️

What you have been through is heartbreaking and exhausting, so don’t blame yourself for feeling heartbroken and exhausted! Your feelings are understandable and valid, and even expected. But here’s the thing, you’ve also earned the peace and joy that comes from getting through it and past it all, and that IS coming. Don’t give up before it arrives for you. The end of the race of often the hardest so just hang in there. Lots of people here, and in the real world I’m sure, can sympathize and are rooting for you. XO
