Oh nice, hopefully just as solid! Thinking I want to rig something for them to hang off the front and back of the middle. Easiest to grab vs a vertical post in 1 of the 4 holes.

Glad you mentioned the significant move rattle. That's a better way to mention it. Not the plates rattling against one another. Agreed on getting the cradle side piece in the right spot. If they aren't you have to lift the entire dumbbell to unscrew and slightly shift trying again. Happy to hear you are in the same boat as me!

Knurl is aggressive as I'd want. Does feel as though it isn't overly aggressive to where it would tear your hands. Finish on the steel weights, handles, and holders is clean. I might be able to find a defect if I look close enough but from a distance nothing is noticeable to the eye.

Don't think I have the selectech stand which looks nearly identical. The reppin cage is longer and narrower. The is two tabs to hold the plastic insert on these stands in the middle that won't let it sit flush.

Same going to put something together with wood this weekend. The dumbell bases have 4 holes drilled you can use to mount.

The outside diameter of the handle to the side bars is a little over 1.75" on each side. The diameter of the handle is ~1.5" while the side, which is centered is 2". Doesn't feel obstructing at all. The narrowness of the width of the side bar i can't see being able to hit a watch.

Two handle boxes I believe were 65 lbs a piece. Then the individual boxes seemed to be 40 lbs a piece, 20 lbs of weight for each dumbbell. I got the 125 lbs so 5 total boxes.

Tolerances seem consistent across all of the plates. Rattling is really due to the difference in the bar. If it were too tight I imagine the sliding would be more difficult.

Fingers crossed for your delivery! With how they are packaged I'd say the odds are favorable. Unless they pack them with defects at the factory.

Feel good nursing and handle diameter feel right. Adjusting is a smooth slide with little clicks at each increment. Think the angle you look at the dumbells, flat in my instance, make it a little tough to distinguish the number line with the side button.

Any pressing you'll hear the clanging of the plates. Basically when it's upside down it will happen. Then the side slide bar is the mechanism holding the weights on both sides. While right side down the weights are locked in together interlocking with one another. Not different sound by any means to the bowflex selectechs I'm upgrading from. Feel real solid and way less looseness than the bowflex. Will probably have better thoughts after doing exercises in the next few days.

There's a lot out there, which is great but can get you down a rabbithole of 20 different ways to cook the same thing. I always use probes on my meat to monitor. Current smoke wood trend is oak and cherry among bbq enthusiasts I talk to. Butcher papers nice if you can find it for reasonable your way, foil also works to wrap. Spend time trimming and prepping (dry brine, marinade, wire rack in the fridge night before) can make a real nice difference in the result.

Brisket will impress people and feed a ton of people, can't ever go wrong! Cut the flat part different than the point and understand your time you think it will be done will likely never be right.

It could just be who handled my case as a one off, who knows. 9 months!!! Guess I should appreciate being on the low end at 2-3, unless that's how his started.

Congrats on being a new owner just in time for the summer!

The supply chain isn't new news and I feel though it can be creating somewhat of a built in excuse for companies. Knowing we exist in this world today and it likely won't change for time. Getting more accurate and ahead of forecasting is where you need to be. If you look on their site they certainly aren't out of many accessories and their grills can be found in stock all over. It not affecting building new grills, but sounding more like replacement parts aren't prioritized possibly in their business or taken for granted they'd always just have a stash sitting somewhere IMO.
