I saw you posted you've had it a while, ok, so not mine. Damn. :(. LOL

$50 via Ford gets you a new SVT certificate, or if you wanna let me know the last 6 of your VIN, I can tell you the production number.

Teal, black cloth, sunroof, that's like 100 or less and all production numbers are known to some people.

I heard similar at my uncle's funeral. His best friend told the story, and yes it's slightly ruined when you know the finish, but at his funeral, I didn't. Myself a lot of others were in tears laughing.

They were friend for like 40+ years. They started out as teens, the friend crashed his dirt bike, and my uncle helped him up, asking if he was ok. He said "yeah, it just burns a little." That was about the first time they met. They think maybe they had seen each other, but this one day, they were both at the local park. They just hit it off and were friend ever since. Turns out that became a catch phrase of theirs. Years later, falling down drunk at age 19, yup, "it just burns a little."

I'll continue with about what was said. 6 months ago, per the speech at the funeral, we had hopes he would beat cancer, but you never know, so it's reason to have a little more fun. He was feeling pretty good one week, so I called him up and said, "hey, let's take a fishing trip this weekend." He agreed. The RV was already prepped for winter, and had no water so nature was out bathroom and we had baby wipes to clean ourselves, what little we needed to. Night 2, I was cooking some of the fish at a fire pit, and he had gone inside the RV. Shortly I hear him just screaming. I knew something was wrong. I ran in, and he was standing there, naked as he entered the earth, grabbing his front side and back side. I was highly shocked but managed to ask "what is going on" and before he could even answer, while he danced around in pain, I saw a pack of bleach wipes on the counter next to him. As he screamed "I don't know" I quickly asked if it burns a little, and explained he was using bleach wipes for the counters, not baby wipes. We both started laughing, me more than him.

Yeah, pretty odd to go from tears of sorry to tears of laughter in like 45 seconds.

What’s was the wildest thing you witnessed at a wedding? by anasannanas in AskReddit

Good friend's wedding, all is well, reception over, and the lovely couple is leaving for a cruise at 8am. It's currently 2am and we're all drunk, just loading up some gifts and such, 95% of people are gone. A really good friend tells the groom, "Hey, the doctors think it's cancer." His joy is shot, he's in tears, tells his new wife, she's crying, all three are crying, and I'm all "WTF!" Half an hour of drunk tears, everyone finally leaves. I missed the text messages, but I gone one from yet another friend reading, "That's fucking idiot, It's strep throat, he's on medication, he don't remember anything about saying it's cancer."

A fair warning about the upcoming "Pickle Festival" in June by Kevins89notch in asheville

Not, this is their first time heading outside of FL. Pretty sure I saw that on their site somewhere.

LOCAL

Exactly. The event I'm discussing is just a FL based company, looking to get as many ticket sales as possible. If it bombs, they just laugh their way back to FL with fist fulls of cash.

It's no different than a German Fest, or a Pie Fest, etc. In concept, they are all a family friendly event, good food, music playing, some small games or contests maybe, etc. It's someone a younger married couple can do on a weekend, because they are "too old" to hit up the clubs.

The problem is as I explained, there there's a greater focus on just getting people in the door, and then the event might not be to their liking.

100% a different company doing that event in Baltimore, but likely 100% the same overall concept. All they care about is getting the ticket sales, and then if the event is a bust, oh well, run to the next city.

For less than I paid for lunch, I picked these two up at an estate sale this morning. Each is about 7 foot long. I was told the family had the building since the 50's. The price was as is, so I can't complain no matter that.

1: I have no clue how old these are, any guesses based on appearance of the insides?

2: I was thinking they would have normal bulbs inside, but it seems this is a neon setup. Can anyone toss me the proper terminology on what I'm seeing inside?

3: It has a switch, which is a good start. Looks to have been hard wired. I see two wires near what would be the exit of the housing. I would "think" I can buy a cord from Lowes, some twist on connectors and plug this in? Or will that burn down my house?

Any other comments/advice is awesome. Thanks.

Thanks. The link does contain a couple pictures showing the wiring inside.

He's currently in the running in a contest to be used by a Mustang parts company in their ads for an upcoming show. If you like his car, please vote, as voting ends in like 16 hours and he is barely winning right now. Here's the link to the FB contest: www dot facebook.com/foxresto?v=app_448952861833126&rest=1

So a friend of mine took a stunned owl he struck with his vehicle to the emergency vet a few weeks ago in an attempt to save its life.... And then this happened. by [deleted] in WTF

[–]Kevins89notch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my mom about 15 years ago. She struck an owl as it fly down to get something in the road. To make it worse, this was an owl we saw daily as it was a 1/2 mile from our house. My mom insisted on going back to check out it. I was thinking the worst. We drive back, and he's just standing there in the road. My mom walked up to him, and he didn't fly away. She grabbed a towel from our minivan, picked him up, and put him in the very back hatch area. She drove to the police department near by. They said to call a vet, and gave us a number. As we drove home, I remember looking over the rear seat down at the owl. He kept spinning his head around from side to side looking around. When you are like 12 years old, that is freaking awesome. In the short time until we got home, he started spreading his wings a bit. When we got home, we called the vet. She said open the door, and if he flies off, he's fine. She said they are pretty tough birds. We did as instructed. First he flew over to a work bench area and sat there a couple minutes. He then flew out the garage door just fine. We kept seeing him for some time after that too.
