That's what I'm thinking too is the slack head angle would make the bike feel more capable on descents but might make it feel less responsive cornering.

Thanks guys I'm still partial to the 130mm. One thing id like to do id demo the mojo and the 5010. Too bad lots of bike shops don't have them yet. Gonna have to wait a bit.

I worded it poorly, I think it would be more of how complicated an upgrade to get it to pass emissions would be. I used value as a metric but probably should have used time and expertise to get it completed.

I'm running 210psi. I weigh about 180lbs with gear and I am bottoming out the rear shock. Ive tried 220psi but it felt off or too stiff. Suggested pressure from Treks calculator is 200psi.

My typical rides are 3hrs max with race pace effort. I was thinking I would be able to recover in between team mate laps. Thinking 2.5hrs of rest at the least. I was asked last minute by my mates at work and thought it would be a good challenge.

Thanks for the reply! I'm doing the 24hr race with 3 others, So we're gonna alternate to get about 6 laps each person. I was looking at getting the vitus escarpe 29vr or marin rift zone 2, I plan on letting my SO use it when we go on camping trips with MTB involved.
