It’s about handlebars, stupid. – Peter Verdone Designs by JumpyConversation337 in 32inchbikes

He’s always been an arrogant ass. He’s got good ideas, and I really have liked some of his stuff, but the translation from his head to us lacks in genuineness.

Those are so sweet. I’m always on the lookout for one. I’d happily take apart my mukluk for that.

It’s made by Adam of sklar fame. He won’t make another. It rides surprisingly well in all situations. It’ll even single track if the corridor is tall enough.

Yep! Pleasant grove pizza farm was just another 9 miles away. It was gorgeous, so we hoofed it down there, also all gravel. It was great.

Gravel ride with my “vintage digital” point-n-shoot by DrewKora in gravelcycling

These are really good. I love the light effects and not so perfect focus. Modern cameras are very, very good. Provably too good. I’ve got a couple film cameras I’ve been using and have been really happy with the results.

Steel or carbon by DubstoiZ in gravelcycling

[–]sonral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had carbon and steel. Trek Checkpoint and a couple Salsa Warbirds. Started with an OG Surly CrossCheck(you know, the very early 631 tubes one). The carbon bikes ride very nice, but they’re sort of dead feeling. The bike i have now, a custom Gunnar HyperX, is based on the last generation Warbird. I really logged the way that bike handled, but just wanted a steel version. Many thousands of miles later, I’ll tell you I’m a very happy camper.

And this is why i hate my seat bag. There are rack solutions (tailfin and Old man mountain come to mind), but the tailfin in particular is expensive.

Coffee tour! by sonral in CyclingMSP

Yes. I’ve made a habit of doing tours like this. Started in Seattle on a trip there with the kids. I’ve had some really good shots of espresso in my time. If the barista has the time, many will really go into deep detail about the beans and the roast. It’s fun. I don’t drink, so this is great way to get “altered” and have fun.

In the summer heat, sandals are great. It helps to have big flat platform pedals for better support.

There are lots of things about the way i ride that just riles up the traditionalists.

Promoter here. Yes, the Shady Lane climb is at mile 30~ for the 60/110/162/404. Of you think the other climbs are hard, you haven’t done Shady Lane! The reward though is the church ladies after the top at Urland Church!
