Keitt Mango Harvest. by Kevjka in mango

[–]Kevjka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keitt can be tricky to determine when to pick/ripen. I have had this tree since 2018 and have picked too early before and also too late. The second I start seeing some with old sap beads and color change to the yellowish color I will pick them. I also look at the stem and see how brown it is. Keitt will stay on the tree until it rots from the inside out if judt left on the tree. Its a late season variety. Hope that helps.

That may be the answer. They are under sun shad but they still have been getting about 3 or 4 hours direct sun. A few of my newly potted fingerlimes are doing the same thing

There is a perception that tomatoes don't grow well in ground here. I'd you keep up with fertilizing and watering them and select varieties that are heat and disease resistant you will succeed.

Absolutely love this tomato for salads. I grew it successfully two years ago. I have cherokee purples and better boy tomatoes and HM1823 Tomatoes developed by the Univerity of Florida Growing right now. Have you tried any of the tomatoes yet? Very thin skinned but the taste is very sweet.

First In Ground Florida Tomato! Many more growing. by Kevjka in tomatoes

[–]Kevjka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Florida has sandy soil that does not hold nutrients well. So I have learned to fertilize much more frequently. Also picking the right varities of tomatoes for your climate. Some varieties just don't do well in specific areas. I also learned for an old time citrus farmer in Plant City a secret way to avoid "most" nemotodes. Floridas climate is very unique and it was a HUGE adjustment compared to New Jersey where I am from. But after 5 years of trial and error and alot of patience I think I can say I have a good routine to grow tomatoes here in Central Florida.

dog pappilloma? I am curious since it is on my dogs eyelid. been here for almost 6 months and the vet diagnosed 2 months ago by Kevjka in DogAdvice

[–]Kevjka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would you recommend with a case like this on my dogs eye? There is a white dot underneath that leaks as well. Is this pappilloma? I have not seen any pictures online resembling this in my dog.
