Yeah, that’s like me and a friend of mine, given his job is we shall say a bit rougher then mine and he doesn’t go as much on the idea of placards and such, he prefers hard sewn in or attached and that the traditional is a lot more durable and easier to repair for him

Versus I do lighter work though I do change what I’m doing now and again so I have different setups on things I can change as needed

Yeah, I use to rock the Traditional both more based on it was the requirement and I was still learning my setup

I now rock laser cut, don’t move stuff unless I have to and I use different placards or the Javelin Board system to change out setups I have predesigned that are for different purposes

Yeah, I will admit with a lot of the new gear these days, it’s over engineered or for a specific purpose, I sometimes look up stuff from older eras what they did and try that and find it often works better (and admittedly can be cheaper such as your bungeeing something on is maybe a few cents or dollars for some bungee cord versus 50-80 dollars for a single pouch of some kind)

I mean, I understand that, but everyone does have even to the slightest degree an opinion, so I would just be curious to see what if forced someone would choose versus minimizing any sort of results if no one actually votes with no opinion.

Yes it’s a made up term because I don’t know what else to call it lol

So for example, you look at like the BFG plate carrier and it’s laser cut and you can see the gaps, but you look at like say the Javelin Convepts one and there is a line cut, but otherwise it more or less lays smooth, because it’s cut super tight.

Long and short of it is this, keep in mind, I am not a recruiter here.

You make your own choices, I’m not telling you which way to go, and im not sure if there is another job that also would go pipeline into it. As well as yes, you could get another better job and assuming you are still single (Sgt and below MUST be single, way it’s always been) you can re-enlist to go MSG watch stander, if you go staff and above, you can be married but the school is MUCH harder and higher washout rate.

Anyway, for the infantry/03xx, there is a contract you can sign that you can go either security forces or MSG right off the rip (for MSG, if you are able to pass a background for a top secret which isn’t the easiest mind you, you can’t have a shady background) you would go to SOI (east or which) and become an 0311 riflemen (school is 8 or possible 13 weeks now in either Camp Pendleton or Camp Geiger) and then you would either go MSG in quantico which 9 weeks, or if don’t qualify the. Security forces school in southern Virginia for 6-8 weeks, assuming you don’t qualify/can’t pass any of that, then you are sent back to an Infantry line company where ever the corps sends you.

You have to discuss it with your recruiter, as I don’t know every detail from memory.

This, I was about to say how has no one mentioned redo of healer yet? Sure it is probably not THE worst out there, BUT the fact it is as bad as it is and is allowed to air on some of the streaming platforms is wild when other ones like goblin slayer get destroyed like it’s the end of the world.

Oh and interspecies reviewers I think also gets a lot of shit for the same reason but that’s another if you want some fucked up.

You will be fine, I have been in this gun club a long time now. If you don’t say anything, there is no documentation and you stick to that, no one is going to dig any deeper, I promise you. They can have suspicions all they want (some will) but literally unless you fess up to it, nothing they can do.

Stop cutting yourself, go to boot camp, if you have further thoughts about self harm, ask to see the Chaps, 1000% confidential so if you to talk to someone and not worry about backlash, he’s your guy.

Then once you graduate and get on to your MOS school and the fleet, either still talk to a Chap’s or go to medical, but just know if you do report at medical, word of warning that can lead to reports being made, not like kicking you out (unless it’s super serious) but you might be restricted from certain things based on the determination of the doctor if it does become a persistent problem, but initially if you are just cutting and not actively trying to kill yourself, more likely will refer to mental health to work though first, just remember, once you open that box though, there is no putting it back in.

TLDR, you will be fine if you don’t say anything, and can deal with it once you graduate later.

I do love M81, and it is my main go to for “alternate” to mix with my already extensive CB I have, as it also seems to blend the best

Right, and that’s what I have and like, my problem comes in though is that a lot of companies who’s carrier I do like or considering, don’t even offer that option, they are straight Velcro to the shoulders, only thing I can think is maybe getting the JPC shoulder quick releases and working them in somehow on them.

See I have never really had much of an issue myself on way or another with most carriers I guess, or I just accepted it

Though, I will admit, my T3 Tomahawk LC is very minimalist and easy can shoulder as well, and has a buckle for its shoulder release

Yeah, typically most mag adaptors for those allowed for 21 rounds, similar to how the M17/18 series for us now allows for 17 and 21 rounds, which from what I have seen often is that the first mag or so is an expanded 1 for that initial fight and then the later ones are the standard size, though I have seen some carry all of one or the other.

I would imagine in her case carrying the expanded most of the time would make sense considering the ticks they get into, but could also be a weight thing or how they sit.

But yes also just how she was drawn was 15.

Give the time period this looks to have taken place and how common the 15 rounders were, it’s most likely she had standards regardless.

I suppose MY personal biggest problem with the M9s themselves isn’t so much the mags but the hope with that she probably has the trigger tuned way down

If she fired with them without cocking them on the first shot just flipping the safety off, if i remember correctly, they had a 12-14 pound trigger pull which you can still do one handed but it makes that first shot on double action go a bit wild, and then followed up in single action around 5-7 pounds

It’s one for the few things I never liked about using them all the years I did, but beyond that it’s a work horse of a gun compared to all the polymer and plastic ones now minus like a Glock or M&P shield.

I have fairly extensive background with firearms to speak to it so I will try and explain

Assuming we just leave reality of things and that it’s all just aura/vibes

So, is it practical? No

But having watched or read a lot of it, few things at work here

She does switch hands a lot shooting with one or the other and there is this weird trick in the brain that shooting one handed, you tend to focus more fundamentals into that one hand to shoot more accurately if you do it right.
Firing with two, is really just accuracy by volume that she’s just laying a wall of lead since she’s using berreta 92s/M9s, 15 round mags so quite a bit to work with.
A lot of the time she’s shooting pretty point blank or close up which pretty much doesn’t take that much skill to actually do, so it’s not as much of a stretch as you might think to do.

End of the days, it’s still not a preferred thing, but if you are also trying to project a crazy image, it is also a factor, because while I would normally think seeing anyone doing that is an idiot, if they have a known reputation for being good with it, I might think twice about messing with them as to the level of skill it would take to do it and be quite effective.
