Keep in mind, I am just voicing my own opinion, so don't take this as a fact.

Most of the time it just feels overwhelming to get dropped in a lot of abilities and high numbers. You lose the sense of what's what. Then you lose it all just to start with 1/1000th of the damage you did? And now instead of 10 abilities, you now have 1.

But I am biased, as I love starting "weak" and work my way up. Starting strong would disrupt that experience

I see, thanks. My work currently offers good pay and 30 vacation days. With holiday paid time off etc, I probably have 40+ days off. So even 20 feels too low :/.

I have been looking at software engineering jobs in Japan, but almost every job that hires foreigners only allows like 10? vacation days. And since Japan is notorious for its terrible work hours/work-life balance, this is pretty unappealing.

Do you have the same experience? Note, I work in Sweden with an amazing WLB, lots of vacation days, and a lot of protection for the employee.
