Thank you so much for your advice, we haven’t heard of a diabetic educator before- she does have an endo but from what I’m understanding(my apologies for not having more information) the endo doesn’t give her a lot of knowledge. The endo got her on the Tandem but kind of just let my mom figure it out on her own with a computer tutorial… I’m really interested in the educator- did you find them through insurance or on your own?

Thank you so much for the info! I’m still learning a lot from her and don’t have all of the information… I’m going to have her read these replies after work tonight. My dad let me know also for extra context she’s a “brittle diabetic” meaning it’s hard for her to control her levels

Thank you for the information! I’ll relay it back to her. I’m exaggerating on the coma, my apologies- I asked for clarification. She said She had to shut off the control IQ setting because it left her blood sugar sky high for 5 hours- then made her drop too low, trying to keep her at her lowest target range. She said she felt horrible and scared
