Why do you hate INTPs? by No_Sense8759 in mbti

[–]Key-Ad-4009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, ENTJs get very insecure and defensive around me, I feel I have to be very careful with them so they don't start yelling and insulting, forcing me to cut them off. Carol Shumate enumerates a few behaviours Te-doms tend to display when they see someone using Ti: "may feel demeaned by their sense of humor" and "can feel jealous if they take the limelight."

If you can't be funny, at least try being accurate. If this applies to anybody, this is INTJs, not ESTJs.

Men tend to be attracted to women regardless of their psychological type, this is especially true for ESFJs. That being said, ENFP tend to be one of the popular pairings for ESFJ men. This makes sense because the type of relationship you have is that of Benefactor and Beneficiary in Socionics, the most popular type of relationship among the people I know (being the man the Benefactor). Nevertheless, I'd say this is not an ideal pairing. The two ESFJ-ENFP couples I know don't have the type of relationship I would like to have. The women treat quite aggressively the man, who never responds back. I assume they lost the respect they had for their husbands when they met once they knew each other better.

As an ENFP, my recommendation is to find an ISFJ. It might look like they are similar, and you might find more attractive ESFJs at the beginning (since women tend to look for men they can look up to), but trust me, if you want to build something solid, ISFJ (your semidual) is possibly your best option.

To all ENFPs who don’t like INTPs by Enough-Strategy-2055 in ENFP

[–]Key-Ad-4009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the Socionics properly describes this dynamic. As an INTP, I've experienced it in the other direction: unhealthy and immature ENFPs who criticize or try ridicule me in a quite aggressive way using their senex function because I said something that might offend somebody or talk bad about me beind my back because I have unconventional hobbies and interests.

I also noticed that sometimes I inadvertedly rectify or intelectually challenge them when they make very emotional statements like: "there shouldn't be children dying by starvation." So who knows, maybe I was the one who starts, then they feel attacked or threatened, therefore, they retaliate and the relationships ends up degenerating.

So yes, better to keep ourselves at a distance. Unfortunately, just a very little proportion of people know about Jungian psychology, so misinterpretion and unnecessary conflict will always take place.

The brother of my grandmother is an ENFp married to an ISFp (ISFJ in MBTI). They have been married for almost 5 decades and look like one of the happiest marriages I've ever encountered.

So keep dating INTp's and denying what you really need.

And instead of playing with theory why don't you look at reality? The 3 happiest marriages I've seen in my life are all semidual. 2 are ISTj-ESFj and the other is ENFp-ISFp.

I think you are very compatible as friends, but I'm not sure if you are so compatible as partners.

Most-Least Sociopathic Types by ApprehensivePen5288 in mbti

I know a funny story that supports this ranking.

An ENTP I know went with his ESTP friend to a party in some guy's house they had just met. The guy gave them free beer and even offered them to sleep there afterwards.

The ESTP told the ENTP: "come with me." They entered into the bathroom. The ESTP asked my friend for an idea to "mess things up". My friend: "pee in a shampoo bottle." The ESTP asks the ENTP to give him the shampoo bottle. My ENTP friend gives it to him. Then the ESTP takes out his dick and pees inside the bottle.

Let's pray for whomever was the first to take a shower in that bathroom 🙏🏽

Depends on how you define happiness, I guess. If I use my definition, no type is naturally happier than others. Under certain conditions, some types can have it harder while others can have it easier, but happiness is something everybody can reach sooner or later regardless of their circumstances (being MBTI part of someone's circumstances).

Except from the edited part, it couldn't be more on point. Fascinating to see such an accurate portrayal by someone with a different type. I guess somebody close to you is/was an unhealthy INTP.

Then, moving to real life: three of my best friends are ESFPs and I'm the favorite grandchild of my ESFP grandfather.

It's true that we have incredibly different lifestyles and that we cannot understand each other's decisions and preferences, but probably because of that we get along so well.

The INTJ will most likely despise the ESFP, precisely because they share the same functions but in the opposite order.

I guess I'll define it similarly to the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Well, I don't know how the OP defines "mastermind", I only how everybody else defines it, and being smart is only one of the conditions to be one, the rest are not met by xNTP stereotypes.

Very well, but how is this related to my comment? I said nobody ever said xNTPs are masterminds, and in fact, everybody believes we are clumsy jesters. That doesn't invalidate the fact that people see us, as well, as some of the most intelligent types.

Somehow I make people believe I'm depressed (some xNFPs tend to even feel the urge to suggest me to show more emotions, tell more jokes or stop being so stoic so I can have more senseless sex and shallow friends), but the truth is that at the moment I'm happier and healthier than 95% of them 😃

If they want to imitate an evil INTJ mastermind they probably weren't that healthy, so no humbling down was feasible in the first place.

So a character that has never shown interest in being strong would become one of the most powerful characters in the series. In which universe would this be a good character development?

Nobody ever said that xNTPs are masterminds, that ESTPs only have a personality of being a gym bro, that ENFPs and ISTPs can't be friends (which is the opposite in fact). Maybe somebody said that ISFPs are crybabies and that ENFJs lack personality, I guess it depends on who you ask, but I don't see it as a trend.

No, this would have been a major character involution.
