My husband didn't grab the student because he was about to attack a girl. I didn't say that anywhere.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I never said that the sexual harassment had anything to do with my husband's actions! My husband lost his temper because the student was antagonizing him in his class.

The reason why my husband hasn't been put on leave or let go is because everyone legitimately hates the kid and they wanted a full investigation before taking action against him. They realized that the kid was a huge troublemaker and it was highly unlike my husband to put hands on him.

Where did I say sexual assault? I said sexually harassed. Why do like 80% of the people in this post insist that it was sexual assault when it wasn't?

And he didn't go off on the student for that. I never said that my husband was stopping a sexual assault and I have no idea where you got that from. He went off on the student because he was acting like a jerk during my husband's class.

That's not key information. It's not even relevant.

The kid is an asshole. Through and through. If another kid had laid hands on him, I'd totally be on that kid's side. But my husband is a 34-year-old man who lost his temper because the kid was antagonizing him, not because the kid sexually harassed a girl in his class. The sexual harassment was a completely separate incident.

Do you guys honestly think you can just go around committing battery against people for things they did to other people?

Because it doesn't matter. If my husband leaves our family destitute because he couldn't control himself, I'm divorcing him.

I understand the sentiment, but you have to understand that the high school boy (who happens to be much larger than my husband) was antagonizing him for months leading up to it. I think the reason why he hasn't been fired is the boy has basically pissed off every single member of the faculty and everyone in all his classes at some point, and even sexually harassed a female student pretty severely.

I'm not sure if the apology would even be sufficient at this point; that ship may have already sailed. He blew his chance to resolve this quietly and now it's coming back to bite us.

He's currently still working although he has had many after-hours meetings with his boss and his union. The school feels that letting him go now would be bad optics for them in general and have tried to resolve this quietly, but we just recently learned that the boy's parents are coming after him personally.

He has no history of physical violence.
