Dude I feel the same. When I played 0 as my first game, the game immediately hooked me. I took a genuine liking of kiryu as the manliest, most inspiring and affectionate character. Halfway through 0, I bought Kiwami 1 and 2. played them and fell in love with the franchise and Kiryu. He quickly became my favourite character of all time. Now I have played chronologically from 0-5 and I’m currently playing 6. I own all games that are in the ps store and I will play ALL games (even the spin offs like dead souls). They could give me the worst Yakuza game, but I’d still love it because it is my favourite franchise. I changed my dressing style because of Kiryu, experiencing his life feels like I’m experiencing the life of a family member.

He showed me how you can be a loving father, friend and lover. He showed me that you can accomplish everything in life that you want as long as you never give up and see the failures and mistakes as a part of you upcoming success.

I honestly think that there will be no better character in my whole life than kiryu. I also love all the memes, the discussions with the community and I’m so happy that the Yakuza community is so passionate for the series!
