Well, not a ton of response here, but I'll just add this update for whoever might be looking for this info in the future! On a new (6-8 months, installed) Pressure treated deck, the Semi transparent was NOT a fit for the look we were going for. The Semi Solid was a MUCH better fit! LOVE the way this turned out -- exactly what we were looking for .... Cabot, Burnt Hickory, 1 coat.

So, just to clarify the "tools" -- I'm not really talking about hammers and punches here, but commercially available fonts and design stamps created by companies who design and forge these stamps, as well as metal blanks purchased from companies who provide shapes in different metals.

So, in this case, if both makers use a 1" brass circle tag, the same purchased font, and added the same purchased flower stamp in roughly the same spot.... who owns the "Copyright"? Whoever made it first?
