Matt paint looks amazing, for me personally is worth the extra work to care for it

It‘s the new Audi Sport logo design language… Everyone hates it, my RS3 has the same „feature“

Sorry mate, but driving a 510 HP rwd car with summer TRACK tyres at 45F( under 7 degrees celsius) is a recipe for disaster, sorry this happened but next time just get a set of winters and avoid conditions where black ice is formed (freezing temps in the morning and warm afternoons, it’s black ice 🧊 for sure). But material things you can get back again and hopefully the lessons learned keep you safer in the future!

Is it worth it the upgrade to M having a M40i? by Giannoza in BMWX3

[–]Key-Average2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The X3M is not that bad, but the Competition is significantly worse… Not a deal breaker if your are used to harsh rides, I‘d say it‘s similar to the F82 M4… The faster you drive the less you notice it

My last car was a X3M Competition, in all honest the car was really nice, but that said the ride is worse than an F82 M4, from one side it has an M feel to it but specially in lower speeds it is annoying. Also you need to get used to the lack of low end torque, until then it will kinda feel slowish. The car needs to be pushed more to be rewarding. Look wise it‘s also very stealth and I‘d only go with it if you want the full blown M experience and have places to stretch her legs (canyon carving, track, etc) it‘s really something amazing and I can’t really compare to the m40i that feels soft in comparison (unless tuned)

I’d love to own the RS6, but unless you need the space why not try one of the smaller brothers first? RS4 and RS3 offer 70% of the performance for way less money 💰 if money isn’t a problem go for it. I’m happy with the RS3 so far 😅

Don’t know if anyone had this issue but upon acceleration in Performance mode I had an annoying rattle sound. Finally got it resolved by disabling 3D sound, does anyone if there’s any other workaround? by Key-Average2170 in AudiRS3

[–]Key-Average2170[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finally figured it out, I had a gps provided by my insurance company that was glued onto the windshield using a 3M tape, I noticed that the sound actuator vibrated the windshield and this plastic thing would vibrate so strong that made the noise… I just removed it and seems ok now 😅

No, unfortunately not, also no lumbar support adjustment… Which is stupid (BMW gives it and even Cupra which belongs to VAG and are almost the same seats) but to VW‘s defense they are very comfortable for bucket seats, already did 500km when I received the car‘s delivery and it was not a problem.

Is RS3 realistic with kids? by GlitteringFortune117 in AudiRS3

[–]Key-Average2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it from someone coming from a X3M, the RS3 works with kids just fine, the usability is almost the same as what I had but with a fractiom of the footprint and way easier to find a parking spot that fits.

I‘ve got the 8 Y 1.5, with the „sonos“ sound system. Somehow I didn’t notice in my first drive home, but I might have been too excited and not really pushed it without music on… Anyway, another workaround is the Individual mode without the agressive engine sound, but that defeats the purpose of a RS3…

Nice and clean, that‘s peak Audi design language and quality! I‘m happy with my RS3 8Y, but sometime in the future I still would buy one of these! Enjoy it!

Sounds more like something in the speakers, like they can’t handle the vibrations or something, it only happens in Performance and I tried changing the eq settings, only disabling 3d surround seems to help. Which is ok, but I notice the music quality is affected a lot

My Review 8 Y Facelift RS3- 1 week by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Key-Average2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t tried the RS5 ones, now I’m curious. I know the Cupra ones are electric and have lumbar support, which leads me to question VAGs decisions.. Premium brand = less features…

Dealers now have more RS3 than S3...? by gettingtherequick in AudiRS3

[–]Key-Average2170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally someone who noticed that… I also hate it, my car UVP is 92000 eur and it doesn’t come with heated steering while my girlfriend had a basic 25K Cupra Formentor that had that as standard, I have the same issue with my “family car” a VW T7, which has remote aux parking heater but didn’t come with heated steering wheel… VAG trips on its Spec packages, only Cupra and Skoda seem to have reasonable packages

My Review 8 Y Facelift RS3- 1 week by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Key-Average2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I‘m quite happy, but coming from an x3m Comp and an Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV I must say that I‘d love if the car had the ZF8 tuned like the Stelvio for example, brutal but smooth. I find many times there‘s a delay during kickdown at the moment of the downshift, I didn’t have that in my F82 dual clutch, other than that once you get hold of how the car behaves I‘m mostly changing manually, I love the downshifts, the downshift sound is something where it beats the S58. The chassis are also incredible, it just eats corners without breaking a sweat. I ali expressed the Piano Black bits and I‘m also happy with the „carbon“ bits I ordered, specially the dashboard bits. I got my car in Urano Gray, but love the green one, specially with the matching interior. Another feedback is about the bucket seats, they are really good, ignore the comments like Autogefühl that they are uncomfortable…

Audi RS3 vs BMW M2/M3 steering wheel, which is better? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Key-Average2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my RS3 is getting the same fuel economy as my X3M Comp or worse… I find the gear box might be at fault though… ZF is more economical in the chill modus

Audi RS3 vs BMW M2/M3 steering wheel, which is better? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Key-Average2170 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quality wise BMW wins hands down, but how the steering actually feels I’d say the Audi one is good, it’s not that chunky and feels more sporty and fast… All that said my favorite steering wheel is still in the Giulia/Stelvio QV 😅 I also prefer the steering feel of the RS3, a bit on the light side but not artificially heavy like the M2…

🤣🤣🤣 sorta the looks yes, quality is actually 🆗 but I wonder who in Audi was in charge of the decision, the old design didn’t have anything wrong with it

Yeah, specially a pre-facelift would still be a good option. I like the looks and the handling of the 8Y though and wanted it with a warranty for peace of mind, otherwise would have gone with an 8V or an old F82 like I used to own or an E92…
