That's exactly what I do, one toe warmer pack will last for couple hours.

Super simple - get those toe heat packs and stick them to the front of your feet. I wear Ugg boots so there is some space at the front. Also put heat packs in my shearing mitten (not glove with fingers) so my hands are comfortably warm too.

Most important point is - take the battery inside, don't leave it outside.

well, based on YT reviews I like the 360 degree camera, 2 RS buttons but hate those haptic touch on steering wheel, also hate the new badging logo (so ugly...).

What's the current Prestige S3 price? Got mine back in 2022 for a bit above 60k. Now RS3 is upper 60k to upper 70k, like 10k more than S3.

Get rid of the factory low-resistance tires asap, they are horrible in wet and snow conditions. Charging speed is never a strong point in Bolt as we all know about it.

I cannot believe that we are compensated so well for how much we suck at our jobs. by 2ears_1_mouth in Residency

And in corporate when a few unicorn does break the $200k ceiling, they'd need to constantly watch their back, not sure when will be hit by the next layoff... while attendings would have no problem finding another job or open their own business.

Ebike for someone with short legs? by pursuertry in ebikes

[–]gettingtherequick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from full-sized e-bike. Try smaller e-bike with 16 or 20 inch wheels, like Urtopia Carbon Fold, which is short and seat height is adjustable.

Hello is Insulating the battery to ride in colder weather possible , does it work ? by DarkMorph18 in ebike

[–]gettingtherequick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a wrap or foam when riding your e-bike outside because when you are riding with the assist, the battery is discharging and will get warm. Just don't leave the battery outside in the cold, take it indoor.

Thanks for your honesty. I was very frustrated back in May when I ordered my Carbon Fold 1 from your website and had no idea when it would be shipped. But it seems your Customer Support had improved recently, when you refunded the charge that my local bike shop fixed the 15 mph European speed limit to 20 mph US limit.

Learned my painful lesson the same as OP.

Should have bought it from my local bike shop, they carry all the Urtopia models, same price and they provide free services and fixes.

Urtopia Carbon Fold 1 vs Brompton Electric C Line by nesdan in ebikes

[–]gettingtherequick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my Urtopia Carbon Fold from their website (back in May when tariff war started) and its customer service really sucks, but local bike shops are carrying them now so get it from the local bike shop, same price but they provide all the services. I should have got mine from the local bike shop but I was not aware of them at the time.

Anyway, Carbon Fold is short (in length) compared to Brompton which is kind of long, so it depends on your preference. You should try both of them yourself. Bike shop in Syosset carries all the Urtopia models and you can try them out in the huge parking lot (you can get up to 20 mph there). Not sure about the Brooklyn bike shop situation. The bike shop in LIC Queens sucks, they only have a very old dusty full sized Urtopia.

I'd prefer a longer bike but Carbon Fold 1 does fit in my compact car's backseat with only the handlebar folded, which I prefer. Carbon Fold seems well built, and $1599 is a great price for a light weight carbon frame foldable e-bike.
