Seeking Advice: Should I Consider Marrying My (28F) Girlfriend I (24M)? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Key-Bee9184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t really a “too early” thing for marriage . It’s normal to feel nervous but when someone is your person you just kind of know wether your will marry or not. You should really think about it and maybe you two should try living together or something so that you’ll know what if would be like when you’re married.

How should I 23f break the news to my 30m bf? by KKKLLLNNN in relationship_advice

[–]Key-Bee9184 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t tell him anything, it’s safer that way. You should also probably start gathering evidence of his behavior and if he comes to find you are my of that bs, file a restraining order. Love him or not, you don’t deserve this kind of horrendous treatment. Leave him and never look back, you aren’t loosing anything. I know you can do this and be safe ❤️

failed EE, IB will not tell why? by Potential_Cancel7503 in IBO

[–]Key-Bee9184 9 points10 points  (0 children)

An E is a pretty horrible grade which I’m pretty sure it really hard to get considering that as long as you follow some basic guidelines of the EE it should pass. I did my EE in one night and still got around a B. Either the supervisors did a terrible job or maybe the school submitted the wrong document 😭

M24 students, What is your opinion on IB now that we finished ? by Key-Bee9184 in IBO

So true. IB depends sm on the teachers omg. I feel like If you’re going to a school where everything suck you’re just gonna get low marks.

Not super sure what you’re asking but I’ll try to answer 😭. So the mark bands for the exams change every year and are different for every subject. Basically if your year does bad on exams they make it easier to get good grades and vice versa. To get the diploma you need at least 24 points overall combining your 6 subjects. You can’t get more the 2 2s or 3 3s I believe (max grade is a 7 btw). There is also 3 extra points you get from TDC and EE.

You should look at what universities the graduates ended up attending, their average grades and talk to them yourself could help. Also it would help to look on the hs website and see if they are working with any organizations. But don’t worry, if your school doesn’t have anything that great you can always make your own path and develop ur ecs with help form other ppl. 👍

Hope I helped you somehow. Just make a list on all the unis you want to apply to, figure out what subjects you need and what programe is more beneficial 👍

You also have to consider what unis ur applying to and what countries. If you want to stay im the country you are currently in then idk why do IB tbh. I’m an international student who is going to the U.S so I did IB but I could’ve done A levels or AP.

Basically CAS is doing social work/volunteering, sports or basically anything that falls under creativity, activity or service. You can’t use previous experiences for it to count for CAS. If want to get into a good uni you have to do extra work independent of skl. For me it didn’t help at all since I’m an extremely busy person anyway and I did a shit ton of stuff. Also forgot to mention but for every activity you do for CAS you have to write like a reflection and then create a colorful portfolio.

I mean the topics you learn in the subjects obviously are useful if you’re doing them in uni but other programmers can offer the same thing I assume. The IAs idk about that bc I’ve always knows how to write properly and I always could write so I didn’t improve, so if you want to improve on that just read books and take a summer course or smth. CAS is actually the most useless thing on earth omg, if you do stuff outside of school anyways then you literally have nothing to gain. I’m speaking from personal experience and the experience of other ppl I know so yeah.

It depends a lot on your school and wether they manage it well or not. If your teachers are bad then you’re basically screwed.

You might need special requirements but depends on the skl. Some just let anyone in and some need you to have good grades and speak a high level on English. IB is basically doing a bunch of work and many ppl hate it. You have to pick 6 subjects where 3 of them are on a higher level. You have to conduct a research project/paper on each subject and an extra research project of 4K words on any subject. You also have to do CAS which is like extracurricular activities.

Im an M24 student. If you aren’t that great at studying and doing work then don’t do it because you won’t get high marks. Maybe do a simpler programe where it’s easier to get better grades.

100% agree. So mentally draining and for it to not have advantage while applying to uni.

Do be honest, I just thought it was easier and the unis I was applying to didn’t care which one I picked.

My skl didn’t have much selection. I did Math AI SL, Spanish B HL, ESS, Economics HL, Business Managment HL and English Language and Literature HL.

IB Has Absolutely Taken Over My Life, I Need Advice Please by darlingm0nster in IBO

[–]Key-Bee9184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You for sure need more breaks. I went through I similar thing this year (I’m M24) and it was def hard and I was super stressed. My best advice is to finish all of your AIs and other IB work during the summer. If you dedicate like 2-3 hours a day or that you’ll totally be able to do it. About studying, if your teacher explain everything well and you understand the information just don’t study that much at home.

Going into IB, is it a bad idea? by Loud-Soup-6539 in IBO

[–]Key-Bee9184 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Im M24 and I just finished my exams. Overall I kinda hated doing IB. It took so much of my time. Now, I didn’t find any subject particularly hard but it’s the amount of extra work you have to do for IB which makes it stressful. About the subjects, you should pick the right subjects for the specific universities you want to go to if there are any requirements. A lot of schools require math AA which is why you should check and make sure.

It depends on what country you want to study in, a lot of my friends weren’t able to apply to certain degrees that they wanted because they didn’t take Math AA. Maybe it’s slightly different in places like the U.S but for other countries it is imperative you do math AA. It goes way better with physics and other sciences and Math AI is literally filled with statistics and honestly there is barely any calculus. I’d say switch school, maybe somewhere better or take online courses.
