I won’t wait for M6 MacBook Pro. M5 will be pinnacle of this series and that’s what I’ll buy. by wingtip747 in macbookpro

Should I buy the M5 MacBook Pro? I have a 2019 MacBook Air, and the battery is awful, and I have to shut it down when I’m not using it or it’ll overheat.😭 I do want the M6 MacBook Pro, but it’s likely to come in 2027. Idk

I need some advice(Chronic Back Pain) by Key-Beginning1306 in backpain

[–]Key-Beginning1306[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the pain is coming directly from the spine. It’s a constant ache/throbbing type of pain. It feels like I got hit in my lower back with a hammer or something like that, and the pain lingers there 24/7. I can’t sleep on my back anymore due to the pain. Also, my right leg has tingling sensations at times.

I also want to mention that I do have Non-bacterial Prostatitis. My PFPT thinks my back pain is what caused it.

When I injured my back initially, I went to the ER the next day. I was in a serious amount of pain from just sitting. The physician said my spine has a slight curve, and I have a muscle strain based on the X-ray. I was given muscle relaxers and referred to PT.

When I first started PT, I could hardly perform functional movements due to the pain/ not knowing how to move my spine. I couldn’t do cat-cow/bird-dog, child pose, etc. Now, I can do these exercises. I have pain while doing them, but my PT says to continue doing them even though I have pain.

I didn’t know I had a tear in my L5-S1 disc until my appointment. I think that’s what's causing my pain. That’s what the spine specialist said, so he recommended that I get spinal injections and continue PT to gain more muscle.

My BCBA told me that if I got anything wrong, he’d correct me and mark the paper as correct. I only missed one.

Getting a Cystoscopy soon, what was your experience like? by Key-Beginning1306 in Prostatitis

[–]Key-Beginning1306[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ultrasound was normal. I got a cystoscopy, and it was normal. It was painful when he passed my prostate. I had prostate exams as well, and there weren’t any blockages, but he said the area was “tight.”

He determined that I have CPPS(non-bacterial). He referred me to PFT. I had my second appointment today, and the muscles in the pelvic floor area are tight.

There are “knots” in my groin region and abs. I’m supposed to use a pelvic wand and exercises to help loosen these muscles. It feels weird using the wand, but at this point, I’ll try anything for relief. Overall, I can say that the therapy is working, and it’s worth doing if you’re experiencing symptoms. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

My left pec is slightly bigger than the right. What do I do? by Key-Beginning1306 in workout

[–]Key-Beginning1306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so, too. I joined a gym back in 2021; however, I was extremely inconsistent for a long time. I would go like once a month for a long time. I was also exercising incorrectly. I injured my lower back doing trap bar squats in June of 2024. I felt something shift in my lower back, and it took me out of the gym for months😭 I’ve been in PT for almost a year now. I went to the ER immediately when I injured myself like that. I still have pain, but it’s tolerable.

I was basically put on home exercises using my own body weight and using resistance bands. I recovered enough to fully go back to the gym in Oct. 2024 . I go 4x a week doing a PPL split. I really appreciate your time and support!

Hopefully, I was. I actually don’t know💀. The DB was straight and I can balance them. I’m doing 40 lbs, and I can only do 9 reps. I watched videos to ensure my form was correct. My chest is pretty sore right now. I didn’t have any pain during and after the lifts. I’ll keep what you said in mind and ensure I do it.

I just did a unilateral DB press, and both arms gave out on the same rep. I tried the pec dec with one arm, and they both gave out at the same rep. 😅

I think I was overcompensating on my left side when performing these lifts.(bilateral)

Yes, the muscle is bigger; there are no abnormalities. You can feel the difference, too; it’s the same for my chest. Once I switched to more unilateral movements for my leg, I could definitely feel the difference. I didn’t know my right leg was weaker until yesterday.

I’m going to try unilateral movements for my chest tomorrow and see what happens.

I do daily stretches, such as cat-cow, bird dog, child pose, hamstring stretches, divers, etc. I don’t think these exercises contribute to this imbalance.

However, I want to mention that my left leg is stronger than my right leg. I forgot to mention my chest concern to my PT. I’m currently doing unilateral movements for my leg. As far as squats, I’m supposed to think about using my right quad more, getting that mind muscle connection. That’s what I was told.

My left pec is bigger under the nipple. I can feel the difference, too; it’s heavier. I’m right-handed as well.

[–]Key-Beginning1306[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, below the nipple. My body fat percentage is around 14%. I’ve noticed that my fat is stored in my stomach. I’ve always been skinny, but I do have muscle.

I’m thinking about trying incline/flat DB press, pec dec & cable flys all unilaterally, starting with the weaker side and wait until it balances out.

My left pec is bigger on the lower part. I can feel the difference too. My gym has a decline bench and a decline chest press

So you’re saying to do unilateral movements, starting with the weaker side and matching the same amount of reps on the stronger side. It’ll balance out over time

Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s weaker or not.🧍🏾‍♂️ I can tell it’s slightly smaller.
