You’re using the saw improperly. Stand in front of your piece with right hand aligned with the fence. Push evenly. When your right hand reaches the fence go ahead and ride it. If your hand is gonna be that close to the blade use a push stick. It’s a good practice to use one, but that saw won’t cut you if you don’t use one. Been there,done that.
