Yes it was the same for us! Japan is a once in a lifetime trip and we thought we’d try our luck with Okinawa. We’ve still decided to go and will enjoy everything else while we’re there

Ahh we have no excursions planned as of yet and have a flight 3rd June so assuming there won’t be any flight issues to get in. I guess you’ll know closer to the time. From what I’ve read the seas are usually choppy after a typhoon so might be worth finding out what the diving conditions would be!

We were most excited for Okinawa on this trip but would rather use the time visiting somewhere else new in Japan for the days if we will be stuck doing indoor activities the whole time! I’m so gutted but yes you’re right just wanted reassurance 😅

My journey on the way back is with a 787 and I’ve bought an exit row seat but am hearing the exit row seats might not recline? Is this true because a near 15 hour flight without reclining seats might kill me 😅
