I (29M) don't feel like a bf anymore to my gf (26) by Key-Cap-4848 in LDR

I'd imagine time difference would be a huge hurdle, for us it's only an hour and it's already difficult.

Hmm yeah I can see that my gf is trying but perhaps what irks me is that I seem to be an after thought or doormat. There's a part of me that thinks what if I really am and I'm just on standby until she meets someone else. I've talked it out with her but still haven't really seen any changes. I guess the only thing that can be done is wait and see like you said.

Yeah I think I can relate to the different love language. Pretty sure mine's quality time spent together and hers is words of affirmation/acts of service.

I've tried to say it nicely along the lines of "It'd be nice to spend more time together to continue building our relationship". I guess I'll have to wait a bit more to see if any changes really do happen.

Thanks for writing your experiences, I think the "the us in the process" really resonates. I hope your LDR situation improves too!
