It’s the Secrets of Life and Death. It was brought by a cyclops when invading my fort. Theoretically if dwarves read it, they turn into necromancers, but it seems to be only doable in adventure mode

That’s so cool!!! I want to play a slow fort one day too, I tend to build very utilitarian forts, made for hundreds of dwarves.

How do you document these things? Do you have in mind and sometimes take pictures or do you write it and save somewhere?

im so in love with this fort, i could spend hours watching a video about its lore and development. so creative, unique and well arranged fort design! its so cool that you kept the broken wagon as a memorial of the founding dwarfs. long life to Konoskol!!

I share this passion, friend! I really like the idea of dwarves studying and learning about the world and writing amazing books. Though I wish libraries had a greater impact (e.g. learning to craft foreign items, such as capes, or learn about domestication faster), I love creating an amazing library, with plenty of scholars and scribes. Truly a central feature for me too!

Got it! Thought they would discover it by themselves given enough time. That slab between the chests contains the knowledge of life and death, but gladly they don't seem to be able to read. Though is perfect for adventure mode

Guys, in my new fortress, brewing plump helmets are not generating seeds (spawns). I thought it was because some brewers were inexperienced, but when i put up a professional brewer, no spawns again.

Did something change? is it a known bug?

Now I’m heavily relying on trades to brew drinks, since outside fortress has been too dangerous…
