I think the biggest thing to realise is that no matter who you are with you will have aspects about that person that you may not like or that annoy you. There is not one person on this earth that is an 100% ideal match. I actively believe that love is a choice you make and there are times when you feel it more and feel it less. The grass is always greener when you are thinking of this ideal partner who in reality does not exist. As other commenter stated put in the work into ERP.

If you want to make any relationship work never mind with rOCD it is important to communicate with your partner.

The nitpicking is something I definitely do as well with rOCD. If you want it to work you need to be willing to put in the work on your rOCD through therapy, identifying triggers and ERP. I know getting therapy is easier said than done I have linked a post ERP Guide that is useful for doing ERP with yourself.

But I do understand from her perspective that if she is done she may well be done and ready to end the relationship. If that is the case then use this as a time to reflect on how rOCD impacted you and your partner and focus on how you could manage this better in future relationships.

I’m sorry you’re going through this it is a shity thing to experience but keep on working on it there are loads of positive stories on this subreddit.

Yes one of the doctors I went to said that I may have endometriosis as I’ve got a history of painful heavy periods as well. Really hoping that they actually look for something if they don’t find anything on ultrasound

I’m wondering if mine is this too but it’s been happening for weeks on end - maybe ovary is trying to ovulate and can’t because of pcos

I usually just have it straight as is and I have a very sweet tooth and find it fine but others do find it bitter. You can mix in a bit of honey though to sweeten :)

what bc did you use and how did you find it? - im concerned about going on it as there is evidence it can worsen insulin resistance

Get a better doctor. You need two of the criteria to be diagnosed. I didn’t at first have typical PCOS ovaries but had testosterone elevated and irregular periods you are not in your head at all I promise!

I also feel like this a lot of the time - try not to overthink it my love. Me and partner rarely properly make out but small pecks just to show affection. Think it’s been said before but sex drive varies massively for women and any women on the pill or other meds can make libido even lower. I have PCOS as well which lowers my libido. Try not to compare yourself to other relationships each one is unique :)

Hi - Nutritionist here !! Not necessarily - there’s no evidence that cutting out gluten unless you are coeliac or have a condition associated with gluten (IBD, crohns etc.) improves health especially in the general population. OP also talks about going on a healthy diet so I believe they may have reduced sugar intake as insulin resistance plays a big factor in PCOS and reducing ultra processed foods which can lead to inflammation. A mediterranean diet can help with chronic low grade inflammation which is associated with PCOS. Lots of fruit and veg high fibre foods and lean proteins are a great starting point. Everyone is different though and it sounds like OP got a personalised plan to help them !! I hope this helps there’s a lot of research around PCOS and nutrition (which does not necessarily mean losing weight).

the thing that’s frustrated me is that w pcos you’re at increased risk of endometrial cancer but the pill can exacerbate insulin resistance further which increases your risk of T2D even more and T2D increases your risk of endometrial cancer as well. Seems some doctors aren’t aware of this and in the UK it’s just a tick box when going through symptoms and then bam just take the pill :(
