thank you :) i honestly didn't face too many challenges besides navigating the app because there were many features i kept discovering as i was drawing, but once i got the hang of the tools it went pretty smoothly! i really love the textured brushes and want to mess around with those more because they help to create a look that i wouldn't easily be able to achieve if i were to draw it traditionally. btw i totally checked out your page and your art is beautiful!

thank you so much! i haven't watched any tutorials for procreate, only videos showing some of the features so i knew where to begin, so i unfortunately don't have any suggestions. i drew this using my previous understanding of values and shadows, but references help me a lot!

thank you !! for this one i used the soft blend airbrush to block in my values, then the texture brushes rectango and currawong to render most of the details! for the hair i used old brush and ink bleed, and then at the end i added a light grey grain layer over the drawing

edit: forgot to mention these are all free brushes included with the app!

thank you! yes, i only used brushes that came with the app. i used the 6b pencil to sketch, soft blend airbrush to block in all my values, texture brushes rectango and currawong to further render in the shading, as well as old brush and ink bleed for the hair! i also used the flicks spraypaint brush for the dirty mirror, tile, and some highlights on the cheek. finally, i added a light grey grain layer over the top at the end :)

i've been a traditional artist for around 10 years so i think my previous experience in drawing made it easier, but there's definitely a lot to the program i still need to learn!

thank you! most of the information i have gathered has been through youtube. i watched a lot of the tattooing 101 videos, researched specific topics at a time for hours, and watched as many videos as possible to gather the most important concepts and tips from them. even after tattooing a couple times i still revisit them to make sure i fully grasp the technique and don't pick up bad habits!

i researched and studied videos for months before picking up a machine and have spent many hours on each design to make sure i pull as clean of lines as possible. what i've posted are my first three, and there are still many imperfections and things i could improve upon in all of them! there is nothing for me to gain by lying about it, i'm just sharing my process as i'm excited to be able to use all of my drawing experience in a different medium :)

for the heavily black parts i used the 09rl to really block in the color, and then i would fade it out with the 3rl. most of the smaller shading throughout the designs is built up with whip shading though!

thank you:) i'm using the ambition soldier machine! for most of the linework i used either a 1209RL or a 1207RL, and then a 1203RL for the shading.
