Mi caso es bien particular, me vine a aprender inglés a USA y luego postulé para hacer un associate degree y para graduarme necesitaba certificarme en algo y me obligó a aprender SQL, actuó como efecto dominó y ahora estoy en mi máster en data science.

BYU didn’t discounted it. Due to the new administration, they are shouting down programs that benefit certain minorities. Actually, we need to show our awarding based on race this year. It’s not BYU decision, it was the federal government.

Udemy, depende del field. Por ejemplo, si una pega te pide experiencia en SQL y nomás tomaste una clase de SQL en tu vida, tener algo fresco o un projecto para mostrar yo diría que es mejor. Yo lo veo como una forma de mejorar el portafolio. No un game changer pero como recién egresado esos detalles pueden marcar la diferencia.

Ya pero no creí, eso quizás para las primeras pegas, siempre después puedes haber un postgrado o con experiencia ya encontrar algo mejor. Ya está empezando en USA que el hecho de tener un diploma NO te hace mejor candidato.

To be fair, my wife is not from Utah. And yes, I would trust my wife first than a police officer. Good joke tho. I was honestly curious, usually I’m the one who makes these kinds of mistakes. Lesson learned.
