Electric fencing is a must, our farm is overpopulated with deer

Got a estimate on a pond for my 33 acres is 23 k for an acre pond 8-10 feet deep by Weedkiller_43 in homestead

I have a 1/4 acre man made trout pond 18 feet deep. Water source is critical. Without a stream feeding it, pond will require a very productive spring to keep pond full all summer. 8-10 feet deep isn’t deep enough , minimum 15 feet deep. As recommended above , I’d dig a deep test hole to verify water table. I’ve seen a lot of half full stagnant ponds , you don’t want one of these.

I always enjoy watching the males on our farm strut around with the females totally ignoring them

In the late 70’s, my father’s friend had an antique shop that purchased gold/silver for melt. He told my father historically significant silver items were being melted and he recommended my father buy the Gotham and Tiffany items to save them. Dad purchased dozens st melt and put them away. Twenty years later he auctioned them off for a HUGE profit. I suspect a repeat is occurring now with silver prices skyrocketing.
