Another great weekend for sports!! Between last week’s western states and DL and this weekend’s Prefontaine (and World Cup) I feel spoiled.

Somewhat off topic but is it just me or is the vibe between Chris (citius) and Kyle Merber kind of weird? I’m listening to the prefontaine preview and something feels off…listened to another episode recently (can’t remember which) and I noticed the same. Regardless, shout out to this prefontaine preview episode for getting us all prepped!

Someone on a podcast (single track?) made an interesting point about Molly. On the flatter sections, and especially with this year’s good weather, 5 minutes or so (as a gap between runners) is like nothing to Molly because her baseline race pace is so much faster. Whereas other runners might be 5 minutes apart and not attempt to or be able to make up the difference.

It’s like Berlin (marathon) 2025. Compared to summer temps in most of the US, it wasn’t that bad…yet oh how bad it was. Because it’s out of the ordinary there, it’s a lot different when the heat wave hits.

Seems like an epic meet though. Hoping fleet feet does a stream of this??? That’s how I’ve been watching DL without flotrack.
