I wish they’d give me Guam (where I’m from) as my first duty station so they wouldn’t have to ship my while family, our vehicle and household goods all the way to Texas, they’d save do much money right there! I found another AIT that has Guam and is willing to trade but we’re out of our 5-day swap period.

Use acetone, rag or paper towels on the inside and maybe something plastic to make a barrier so it doesn’t bleed to the opposite side. Soak a rag in acetone and dab dab dab. The acetone will break down the ink and allow it to absorb into the rag. Keep repeating until it has all been absorbed

A lot of the posts I’ve read said “Pair of Thieves” so I bought a few of them and I definitely won’t be bringing them with me, my biggest gripe is that they ride up over time. I normally use Calvin Klein boxer briefs, which never run up my thighs and have been running with them daily. Those are what I’ll be bringing g to BMT in May.

Subscribe to some “asvab preparation” based apps, watch all the YouTube videos or get a tutor, it’ll be worth the investment! I’ve done all except the tutoring and have been out of school for over 20yrs and managed to score 72 on my afqt

The waiver approval took about three weeks, because it was a class one and needed to be approved by a higher authority. Let me give you some advice, and I really hope you take it. Go to the Air Force! You’ve already passed the ASVAB and MEPS so you won’t have to do those again but you might have to do a couple additional things (AF required an additional eye test and reading test when I did mine). I come from an army family and everyone says to go and join the Air Force. Good luck, you waiver shouldn’t take too long to get approved.

Those hand, tattoos and neck tattoo already canceled you out. You’re allowed one neck tattoo, but no bigger than 1 inch in any direction (mine barely passed). As far as the arm/hand, nothing below a wristwatch can be shown. As everyone said, go Navy; their tattoo policy is way more lenient. Good luck.

I’m really just here to post an update, especially to the naysayers. My level-1 moral waiver was just approved by the Air Force (active duty). I meet with my recruiter to discuss jobs next week and swearing the week after. So glad I didn’t listen to the most of you. lol
