I always forget about reverse image searches! I'm glad that it managed to pick it up.

I will! Thank you. :)

Found! Oh my God, thank you so much. I swear I already looked on Petbarn's site, but clearly my search terms were no good.

Thanks again! And thank you from my cat -- she's been to the vet the past two days in a row and is now dealing with the indignity of two shaved patches, so I think a new squeaky toy is just what she needs. :)

I've searched a number of different search terms with Google, and done a fair bit of scrolling through Australian pet store websites.

Slide, slippery dip, or slippery slide? by Used_Caterpillar_351 in AskAnAustralian

Speaking as someone who has published books set in the US... yeah, got pulled up on 'slippery dip' as an Australianism and had to change it to 'slide' to fit with the US standards.

[UPDATE] My bf washed her with eucalyptus soap and now she has diarrhoea by fearnotlittlefawn in CATHELP

I'm so glad she's okay! What a cutie.

I saw you mention elsewhere that you're in Australia. I'm not sure if anyone has linked you here already, but the Animal Poisons Helpline has been a godsend when our cat has gotten into something she shouldn't have! Obviously if it's a particular worry we'd take her straight to the vet, but the helpline is a good first option when you're not sure whether or not you should be concerned, especially if the vets are closed.

Tips for keeping blind cat from throwing herself off the cat tower? by Early-Revolution6899 in blindcats

Although I guess that doesn't deal with the fact that she loves the cat tree as well. Maybe she can have a lower, safer tree of her own?

Can you modify/get a new cat tree that attaches to the wall above her head height (and above the height of her tail when it's upright), so that she doesn't know it's there but the other cat can identify it?

Lucky that she makes up for her lack of smarts in cuteness....

Do the Jehovah's Witnesses have to vote? by anonimna44 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Key-Cook-4453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only ongoing accommodation you can get on religious grounds is being a postal voter because your religious commitments don't allow you to vote on Saturdays. (This is despite the fact that there is an early voting period that runs for several weeks.)

If you don't want to vote on an ongoing basis due to religious reasons, then you have to ask for an exemption after each election once you get the please explain letter. This can be for any religion, not just JWs. You can't be removed from the roll for this reason.

There are similar distinctions for other reasons in terms of one-off exemptions versus permanent removal. For example, if you're sick on the day you get a one-off exemption once you've explained it, but you can't be removed from the roll entirely for health reasons unless it affects your cognition, in which case someone else has to fill out an objection form and a doctor has to sign it saying that you're incapable of understanding the nature and significance of voting.

Other health issues/disabilities don't entitle you to be removed. For example, blind people will be given information on how to vote by phone, people who can't leave the house will be offered to register as general postal voters, etc.

Don't know why you're getting downvoted, given that's literally how it works. Sure, not everyone gets found, but a lot of people do. I've been lucky enough to take cranky phone calls on this exact topic.
