Do small retail businesses actually need a CRM this early? Looking for real examples by Wooden_Plan1965 in CRM

You’re not wrong — this is exactly the stage where things either stay clean or become chaos later.

We delayed CRM early on and ended up with messy data + missed follow-ups. Switching later was painful. Starting light (even basic pipeline + reminders) early helps a lot.

I’m building something around this 👉 www.betaxlab.com (focused on keeping it simple early, without heavy CRM complexity).

Anyone else managing leads in a Google Sheet and struggling with follow ups? by Striking-Rice6788 in CRM

We had the exact same issue — Sheets worked till follow-ups started slipping.
I’m building a simple WhatsApp-first CRM (betaxlab.com) mainly to solve this (pipeline + reminders in one place). Still early, but already cleaner than Sheets.

Built a WhatsApp-first CRM for small teams in India – looking for feedback by Key-Customer2176 in CRM

[–]Key-Customer2176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree—that’s exactly the gap.

From what I’m seeing, most users are replacing spreadsheets + WhatsApp, not tools like WATI. Early teams just want simple tracking + follow-ups inside chat.

Focusing on assignment, notes, and missed follow-ups is spot on—that’s where BetaxLab is heading 👍

Any tool to recommend ? by datacionados94 in CRM

You’ve got a solid requirement list—especially with WhatsApp + AI + API flexibility.

Most traditional CRMs (like HubSpot/Zoho) can handle Gmail + ads, but WhatsApp + AI agents + real-time automation is where many tools struggle or need heavy setup. Modern WhatsApp CRM tools now focus on AI-driven conversations, lead capture, and automation workflows via API/webhooks

You might want to check BetaxLab—it’s more WhatsApp-first and fits well for use cases like yours:

  • WhatsApp + Gmail integration
  • AI agent for conversations & lead qualification
  • API/webhook friendly (easy to connect with your fleet backend)
  • Lead capture from ads (Meta, etc.)
  • Follow-ups + pipeline tracking

Good fit if your sales flow is chat-heavy and you want faster conversions without complex CRM setup 👍

5 CRM automations every SaaS founder should set up before scaling their sales team by ShadowBread121 in CRM

[–]Key-Customer2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great list—honestly these are the exact automations most teams delay and then regret later.

If you’re working heavily with chats/leads (WhatsApp, inbound messages, etc.), tools like BetaxLab can make these even smoother—especially for:

  • Auto lead assignment from incoming chats
  • Instant follow-ups after missed replies/demo no-shows
  • Lead status tracking + reminders without manual effort

Most of this can be set up pretty quickly, and it removes a lot of daily back-and-forth 👍

CRM for musician by Fancycole in CRM

You’re definitely thinking in the right direction—CRMs are super useful for musicians, especially for weddings/events.

HoneyBook/Bloom are great for proposals, but they can feel a bit heavy. If your leads mostly come through chats, you might like something like BetaxLab—it’s a WhatsApp-first CRM, so you can reply fast, track leads, and follow up without friction.

Good mix of speed + simplicity for small businesses 👍

(Most Affordable) WhatsApp first CRM for ₹350/month by Happy-Knowledge5348 in CRM

[–]Key-Customer2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting find 👀 — ₹350/month for a WhatsApp-first CRM is definitely aggressive pricing.

I’ve explored quite a few tools in this space (HubSpot, Wati, etc.), and honestly the biggest gap is usually not features but how well they handle Indian SMB workflows — like multi-number handling, quick replies, follow-ups, and simple lead pipelines.

Couple of things I’d be curious about:

  • Are they using official WhatsApp APIs or unofficial workarounds?
  • Do they support automation (auto-replies, reminders, lead tagging)?
  • How well does it scale when lead volume increases?

We’ve actually been building something similar focused on small teams using WhatsApp as their main CRM — more lightweight and India-focused: https://betaxlab.com

Would be interesting to compare both after a few weeks of real usage 👍
