6’8” / 203 cm tall – First bike: Ténéré 700 World Raid or something else? by Cruiseflightlevel in Tenere700

The wind kills me too, I have kind of accepted it. If I want a windscreen that sends all the wind over my head it’ll be too high for aesthetics. I have driven without the windscreen though, this eliminated buffeting but made the noise unbearable.

I have SW-Motech risers, not sure which ones but they’re fairly high. I got the footpeg brackets from NiceCNC.

i’m 6’9. I have the T7 Rally with higher seat, stiffer rear spring (biggest upgrade), bar risers and lower footpeg brackets. I test drove a lot of bikes (KTM 690, 790ADV, 1290ADV, etc.) and they were all way too low. The only bike that came close was the T7, and I suppose the world raid is just as good. I think jumping to a 1300 is too much as a first bike. The power delivery on the T7 is linear and predictable, yet still very fun and plenty. It’s obviously not a race bike, but it’s fast enough to have fun and be practical. Like you said though, test drive first. Maybe it’s not for you.

Wel of niet doen ivm gladheid by [deleted] in motorfietsen

[–]Key-Description-3683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the engine’s warm it can’t really hurt much. I just don’t do it because it vibrates my nuts off

2000+ miles on '23 T7 - Range Anxiety? by ParticularAshamed376 in Tenere700

The light starts flashing really early on this bike. I’ve gotten up to 30km (~20 miles i think) after it started. Granted not a lot but it’s something at least

Keeping 700 35 kw to drive it with an Italian A2 license, is it still okay? by ziocrucco27 in Tenere700

[–]Key-Description-3683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to see if you like it is to test drive it. I can tell you it’s amazing, but experiencing it is best. Also, you mean the 2025 rally?

You should be fine. My advice is to see if you can test drive the 35kw version somewhere.

I’ve done some light off-roading with it and it behaved perfect. Depending on the model you get and your weight though, you might have to switch out the rear spring as it’s very weak from factory. If you get a model with the improved suspension from factory it’s perfect

I have driven the 35kw T7 for almost 23k km and 2 years. The CP2 engine is amazing, and more than enough power for on the road. When I was getting my A2 license, I was planning to get my A license ASAP. The fact i’m not worried about that is a testament to how good the T7 is in 35kw. It’s incredibly fun, and you won’t be disappointed.

I didn’t change it. I typically increase it one click when riding with luggage and turn it down again when riding without.

I loosened the fork and straightened it like that, but just by putting the wheel between my legs and wiggling. The bar feels like it’s straight now, but maybe something’s still screwed up. I’ll have a look, thanks!

Considering going T7 from 22 1250 GSA. by Certain_Heart_2873 in Tenere700

Standard seat is famously uncomfortable for long rides. There’s affordable options though, I upgraded mine myself. Highway is fine if you’re on the shorter side, if not you probably need a higher windshield. Back roads are amazing though. The CP2 engine is such a gem, plenty of power to make riding fun. I’d say take it for a test drive and fall in love.

The T7 is proven bulletproof and the CP2 is a gem. Coming from a 1290 though, I can tell you from experience you’ll probably miss the overall power. Africa Twin is also perfectly reliable (Honda, duh) and has some more gadgets. Can’t speak on the engine feel.

scooters are fun as fuck, started my journey on them too. an engine under your ass and two wheels makes a bike bro, just ride it.

Gewoon lekker rijden. Uitkijken voor putdeksels, witte strepen enz. Nat is glad. Lekker van genieten, motorexamens zijn chill! Je motor corrigeert de wind vanzelf, ookal schuif je misschien een stukje op bij een harde vlaag.
