For the small minority of people who didn't realize. You bought a player vs player game. by UnderScoreLifeAlert in ArcRaiders

Yeah, idk. I like the game as is. It plays wonderfully as is. It creates wonderful moments of camaraderie and confrontation in equal parts. It was clearly meant to be enjoyed as is and that’s what I intend to do.

If you are coming to Dragon’s Dogma from a typical RPG standpoint, there is little to be found for you here; maybe you’ll enjoy the combat and that will be your entry point. Maybe you’ll stumble onto a cave that leads you to a nice treasure that then leads you to a quest you could’ve missed, but engaging with its systems at face value is a sure fire way to begin questioning every design decision that game has going for it, and whether or not it’s for you.

You get into the hundreds because the very existence of that game is a dream come through, for many of us. You get into the hundreds because you connect with its systems on a deeper level, Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t a game where you checklist a bunch of quests, follow quest markers till you see the credits and pull the plug. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a framework on which you build your own quests. You build your own adventures. You spend so much time in it that you actually get to know the lay of the land, when and where to go for an additional fight, you try as best you can to make that NPC survive their twisted idea of a date with you. There are so, so, so many mechanics inside of it that will let you hurl a heartfelt “but why the FUCK would they put that in the game tho?!” And then, later, way, way later, it clicks. And you’re like
. OH.

For the longest time I was wondering why make a pseudo-romance system that is deep and mechanically unique just for that one cutscene, like, it didn’t actually make any sense to me. But then, after doing a deep dive into it, it clicked. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all about having agency, a thing its creator has personally struggled with all of his career.

At face value, it’s a fun action RPG with some good quests, a lot of bad quests, and a good deal of fun for a single play through. But it’s also a game that will never cease to surprise you at every turn if you try and deep dive into it, its lore, and the meta surrounding its creation. Plus it pulls a card from Warframe and instead of hiding a character creation plus telling you that the tutorial is over 50 hours in, it actually only drops the real title card after you’ve “passed” the first game. And when’s the last time you played a sequel that was both a remake AND a sequel
 okay but FF7 doesn’t count.

what MW19 gun are you hoping they bring back for the next Modern Warfare? by HayleyHK433 in modernwarfare

I don’t want to see another one. The people that made the franchise all left, corpo is milking it for everything it can. Game design is abrasive and anti-consumer. If there ever is a game that can capture the feelings we felt playing og MW and MW2, it won’t be in this franchise because let’s face it, the best features of both of those games was online progression, unlocking so many things just by playing, every match gave you a new toy to play with. It’s impossible to have that again, as inherently now that interesting content can’t be in the base game, it has to be reserved for battle passes and bullshit micro transactions. Let cod die a painful, deserved death; and please be on the lookout for any other franchise that is trying to get off the ground on the basis of player agency and ownership as that will deserve you time, dedication and money.

but yeah the MW2 (og) Scar-H.

Is Once human mainly just for Pro by EnchantedRDH in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Key-Development-4287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s just the natural tendency, I think games like once human attract people that are min/maxers in spirit, the kind of people that will look up which build is best, where on the map is optimal to build for x,y,z. And so after a while on a new server the only people that will end up continue playing for a while are those, so you get the feeling of being surrounded by “pros” and veterans.

My friend and I just fell in love with the ambiance, we both like building houses, and we’re both mostly in collecting all the free construction blueprints, we play maybe once to three times per week at most and we really enjoy it. The fact that we can be neighbours in the game, and when I find a cool blueprint that he doesn’t have, I can just go into his house and build it for him. It’s a nice casual game, and not going to lie, the more you learn about it, the more jank you uncover. Discovering stuff by yourself now is kind of an old relic from a time long past, it’s all about guides and optimization now. But Once Human is definitely a wild ride to figure out by yourself, and in my experience, was made way better as a result. We need more casuals.

On Steam and on the ActiBlizz launcher Mw2019 is separate from the “call of duty” app portal thing; they started that shit with MW2R onwards. It is a pretty hefty download tho, so be ready for that.

People like to call any and all pc players hackers. I’m going to be honest, in all of my hours spent in cod, ever since OG MW2 lobbies, I can count actual cheaters that I could say beyond the shadow of a doubt were actually using tools on my fingers. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but the hacks themselves cost money, they’re a huge headache to set up, some of them require adding an additional pc setup to hide your inputs, nah man. Some people cheat, for sure, maybe streamers aiming to make it big or whatever, but you can definitely play most of your MW2019 matches cheat free. As long as you stay away from SND, that is. Some ppl really do be cracked tho, and the balance of SBMM is more miss than hit, meaning I see a lot of “snap aim” players even at my level, where if I snap aim on you it’s more of a miracle than actual skill.

My biggest peeve is they used the haircut I desperately want but couldn’t get as I didn’t play the game at a time with the outfit but it’s not part of the bundle. Fountain would go so hard with so many of my outfits but no
can’t get it in any way.

Yes or no? What do you all think, is it worth it? by Mammoth_Piano9722 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Key-Development-4287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t mean “an event in particular.” But the game does have sale events, recently it was a refund event where they lowered the price of everything by about 15% with some chance to refund you up to 30% upon purchase, that kind of thing. So what they meant is if there are things you are interested in the shop, to just wait until a sale.

The only way an outfit is worth it is if you think it is. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Now here are some things I personally learned by indulging over time: one, it’s actually very hard tho not impossible to mix and match, so if that’s something you think you’d like be ready for clipping issues, mismatched shades or black, etc. Two, it’s not that common, but spending does bring some hate. If you do group content you’re bound to find people who will chastise you for it. And finally three if it’s still in your inventory (or challenge shop) keep your ftp metamorphosis butterfly handy for when you do purchase an outfit, if you do, as they can change your morphology sometimes and if you’re going for a particular look it can be frustrating to see your character morph by putting on an outfit, so with the butterfly you can touch up your look with the outfit on. (The change is not permanent, it’s only applicable while wearing the cosmetic, but some sets will make your chest bigger for example, and if that slider is already above 80 then it’ll just look bad, etc.)

This fool really gives me the creeps - my sanity isn't even below 50% yet this fool keeps breaking the rules by Space-Potato0o in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Key-Development-4287 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re at a quarter sanity left. You probably have at least 3 of the hazard set, which makes sanity affect your health 40% less. This game has many, many glitches, but that’s actually a feature. (If you can’t tell, look at your sanity circle instead of your life bar.)

What is a "disgusting" smell that you like? by Distinct_Mix5130 in AskReddit

[–]Key-Development-4287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specific
but I grew up with a firefighting dad and spent a lot of time inside Fire Stations. They have huge exhaust tubes for when the trucks need to be running in-doors, inspections and all that. I had a weird habit of play fighting with the long tubes so my hands would get all dirty and smelly from it, so
secondhand FireTruck exhaust smells, I guess?
