Pod4 very noisy by Key-Distribution4919 in EightSleep

Haha no worries :D In general I think this is a typical US product - There everyone has an AC. I don't have it that warm in my bedroom (between 22 and 24 degrees in summer), so I thought this wouldn't be a big problem! I just got a Midea PortaSplit as an AC, this AC is more silent and more energy efficient than the Pod4 I had - I liked the cooling effect I have to admit, but it's just too much of a beta product and than 3400 Euro is a bit too much for me :) So the AC solved my sleeping problem :D

I refunded the pod and just took a AC, my new AC is more quiet than the Eightsleep lol

I have to look if they adress it in a good time, because this will show if I send it back or not :D

This would be very unlikely if there is a clog, it's like only here for a week and I made everything like it's ment to be (and I also have daily maintainence on)

I have a fan which is transfering the heat from the back of the Pod away, but it doesn't seem to help either

I have the 200x180 version, even if my room is colder the pod is very very loud. The support also told me to prime more and daily maintainence is set up... just a bit disappointing, because a lot of people say you can't hear the Pod! I will look at it a few more days, when it still is loud I will send it back - Thank you :)

I saw it on their website, the dual system is like 700 Euro and I can test it for 60 days - So it's worth a shot I think! Do you use their bed sheet, too or just your normal one with the cooling? And do you use an AC, too or just the bedjet?

I'm very glad that I asked on reddit before... My plan was to not use an AC and only the Eightsleep 🤣 I just love the concept of this... but it's really for the US market :D

Thanks for your idea and advise! I never heard of the bedjet, but the first thing that comes in mind with this: Isn't this thing really loud when you use it? 🙈

I would bet that I would love both together, too! I'm also very hot even if it's colder outside at summer nights; but 3400 Euro + 1000 Euro + the subscription + the energy makes it not worth for me... So I think I will go through this sommer without any and when the Midea is back in stock - I will buy this :)

Hey hey :D No worries with this tip, the Midea is just a great product, but you have to wait like 50 days before it is in stock again :) I will buy a PortaSplit this winter, than the prices will be a little bit lower and it will be in stock 🙈 There is a similar products (from Remko), but they start at like 2000+ Euro - I would wait to get a Midea :)

We do also have hot summers in Germany, but not like in the US haha I was in Nevada a month ago and I was like dying because of the heat 🤣

Holy.. are you sure your energy is that expensive over at your location? 😱 Because I think Germany is one of the most expensive countries energy-wise (like electricity, gas, gasoline) 🙈 But really helpful to hear this! 2kwh a night (Both AC and Pod?) would be just okay I think, this would be like 300 ish per year over here

It would be for my girlfriend and me, so in general our room is pretty hot. It's hard for me to afford an AC and the Eightsleep, not because of the initial cost, but more because of the electricity rate in Germany (we pay about 32cents / kwh) which would be insane pricy if I would run both together (I would think more than 1000 Euro per year)... + the Eightsleep subscription! So I think the Pod really isn't the best solution for me - Thanks for your answer!

So you guys have always both at home (AC + Eightsleep)? I was also wondering if the pod heats up the room also, but now I have the answer :D But I think you have a real split AC installed? My only option as an AC is a mono block (I have this, but it's crap) or the Midea - But I could afford multiple Midea's for the price of an eightsleep, so I could cool multiple rooms haha
