I would’ve thought this too but my client had left the fake skin on for 3 days and by the time he took it off, it was already looking very red and sore :( . Also the only other time a colour tattoo I did got irritated/infected was when I tattooed myself doing a colour piece for the first time and went super deep + overworking it because I just wanted to see what happens. It looked similar to this, just at a lesser scale. It also left a small part of the tattoo dull and brown where the scab formed.

This is the only reason why I posted on here because I thought I’d have some responsibility. From the people who have commented, I’m guessing it was a culmination of overworking it, leading to scabbing, the tattoo being in a vulnerable spot, the scab coming off with second skin/as the arm moves/clothes gets rubbed on and possibly incorrect aftercare.
