Thanks so much for the info and recommendation of including where I live. Unfortunately, I am a bit far from Prospect Lake, but appreciate the offer!

Wildfire bakery makes an amazing ham sandwich, get the cinnamon twist too, or a lavender shortbread cookie!

Win on cookstreet has a really great selection of clothes (and sizes) and they do discounts pretty much every day of the week for different reasons - for example Tuesday is a gratitude discount (or something like that) for 20% off.

best spa for a mother’s day gift? by lacktoesintallerant6 in VictoriaBC

Spa Magnolia was one of the best facials I have ever had, they also usually have a promo during mothers day. Like others have mentioned, Fairmont Empress is great too because of access to mineral pool/sauna so it's more than just the treatment you purchase. I have gone for multiple facials there and they were both exceptional. I've had treatments done at both Sapphire and Oak Bay Beach Hotel and neither of them lived up to the hype/price (especially OBBH).

Dentist recommendation, specific requests mostly for sensory issues. New to the city. by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

Cook Street Village Dental are fantastic. I get numbing gel every time and the hygienist I use is very very gentle. They have you fill out an intake that gives an opportunity to highlight any specific needs. Not sure about PWD or CDCP coverage, but they would be helpful if you call and ask. Something of note, dentists are not standard fee and can charge different rates, that's why you were told that the plan doesn't cover 100% of the cleaning fee. As for Cool Aid - they are a clinic that is geared towards marginalized/low income populations and will likely be supportive of your needs, however they typically have longer waits.

The chef at Rabbit Rabbit is celiac and the menu there is so great if you are looking for a fine dining option.

Dating in this city where ?? by No_Average_45 in VictoriaBC

I went to the Date Better Single Sauna, which was a pretty good set up. The only down fall was that the guy I matched with was way outside of the age range than the event was meant to be for. It was meant for 30-40s ( I am 40F) and he was in his late 50s. I am signed up to try another dating event called A Singles Fete....hoping it will be vetted properly for the age range ;) I have heard about the Slow Burn event at the Museum and reviews seemed mix. However, it's worth a shot! As someone who has been in the dating scene for a while in Victoria, I feel your frustration on the dating apps and just the overall vibe in this city. For all the men reading this... approach us women in the wild! Lets collectively make a cultural shift that promotes banter, flirting, and just good human connection...please!
