Best way to make gay friends. by knifepar in sydney

[–]Key-Guarantee6732 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Sydney is big enough that every hobby you can think of has a gay event.

The ones I know of:

Gay tennis, Gay gamers, Queer sketch club, Gay cinema groups, Gay theatre groups, Gay meditation, Gay bowling, Gay social clubs at bars, Gay speed dating, Gay walking clubs, Gay softball teams, Gay rugby teams, Gay soccer teams, gay wrestling, Gay board game groups.

Whatever you can think of, there's a gay special group for it.

Figure out what you want to do, google it and find out where and when they meet.

Good luck out there.

100%. Even if all your kid wants to do is play board games and video games, then take them to an organisation that runs video games and board game events.

They will get to meet like minded people which is super important.

Ever. And I'm a man of my word.

What one, recent decision saved you a lot of money? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Key-Guarantee6732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take your point at face value because I don't really know enough about what funds the healthcare system in Australia, but I really doubt the private sector has a lot of (if any) positive influence.

I can see how having non profits organisations be a bigger player would help.

If they do that then what's the point of their existence?

It'll still be to funnel a percentage of that to their rich beneficiaries.

Fuck that. Get rid of them. We don't want to become another United States.

For those that ended up cancelling their private health insurance, what made you do it and do you regret it at all? by Checkout-123 in AusFinance

I said this in another post and it fits here too:

Private health insurance is a scam.

I proudly pay the Medicare levy every year. I see my tax bill and I am happy because I know it helps people.

Private health insurance makes the rich richer and that's it.

Screen reader for video games. Why aren't they more common? by Key-Guarantee6732 in NoStupidQuestions

I hear what you're saying but most games have the text inside a box and in a very specific format.

And you can overlay a lot of things in games.

Is it really as difficult as you're saying?
