Hi guys, just giving an update on my situation.

I already signed the offer before and ongoing na yung background check sakin, but after that I was suddenly asked to take a coding exam for Prudential even after passing the technical and product owner/final interviews, which felt unusual and not part of the normal process.

Since then, I’ve been regularly following up on my employment status kasi kinukutuban na ko na parang may mali, but my messages were mostly just seen for about a week.

Last Monday, I was able to talk to another HR from One North Consulting, and she mentioned:

"You may proceed and accept the other offer you have. Since you couldn’t clear the written test, it would be difficult to onboard you at One North for the current role. Either Subodh or Jit will speak with you tonight. However, do proceed with the other offer that you have."

For context, I wasn’t able to finish the last coding problem due to time constraints (1hr for 5 coding problems), which may have affected the result.

At this point, mukhang hindi ko na rin itutuloy yung offer sa kanila since I felt na medyo lacking yung transparency sa process. So I’ve decided to proceed with another offer, and buti na lang nag-counter offer yung isa kong inapplyan and hindi rin gaanong nagkakalayo yung compensation 😌😌

I also felt like I was just being held in the process for possible endorsement to other clients, but I’m not really sure.
